16 hemi limited or SRT?

Let's not talk about If one could afford it or not. Let's just say one loves autos and loves the unique mystique of specialty autos and loves performance even if it's just daily driving 60 miles a day round trip. I'm thinking a 75 Ann hemi or an SRT. Even though an SRT will be alot harder to pay for. I've had a 14 SRT already and I must say it's an incredible automobile. What's your opinion?

Re: 16 hemi limited or SRT?

Why is this a question ? If you can swing the SRT then do that, I can't imagine anyone on here will say different

Yep. If it's an option, there really is no question.

SRT. Would never consider a limited to begin with.

Buy a 2017 SRT.

Or, if you're not in any hurry, wait for the '18 Hellcat.

Kind of hard not to talk about affordability since you mentioned it twice.
Anyway SRT for me if I could afford it

Re: 16 hemi limited or SRT?

SRT for sure. I know it's not what it was built for, but the poor fuel economy would get kind of annoying after a while, especially if it's a daily driver. I remember my 2008 SRT it seemed like you could literally see the fuel gauge go down lol. Then again with the smaller fuel tank maybe you could.

Haha that's funny you mention that. I had an 09 SRT8 and it was annoying to travel anywhere in it because it was geared low and because you were always stopping to fill up.

SRT 100% .

I know you said not to factor in affordability, but honestly it is the only factor... For me a at least.

Re: 16 hemi limited or SRT?

With you already having the SRT there is really only two options IMO.

1. Get no SRT and just go to another brand since any grand Cherokee under it will seem lesser.

2. Get a really cheap SUV for the winter if you live in that type of climate and then get a SRT challenger or alike performance car for the better months. You will pay about the same as getting a SRT Cherokee but get two vehicles(challenger SRT 46k / cheap suv 20k)

Re: 16 hemi limited or SRT?

Why wait for a 2017 SRT? What will it have that a 2016 won't? I know the hellcat will be rediculous as far as performance. Are the current SRTs that bad on gas??

Stiffer gearing and larger displacement makes for less mileage. 13/19 vs 14/22 for the Hemi. The SRT is like my CTS-V, lots of fun, but the fuel gauge moves almost as fast as the boost gauge.
