Just remember that a V6 will not match the diesel powerwise... The V8 will be a much more comparable engine.

The point is, my Touareg TDI, even with numerically 46Hp less, moves never as weak as the Dodge did. If you ever try a Turbodiesel, especially in the mountains, you will never opt for a gas engine again.

...give it a try!

Hey curio, what year is your Touareg and how do you like it?

I drove both a v8 and v6 and had a much higher "grin" factor with the v8. The CRD cost difference isn't a factor for me because a. I'm getting the lux II pkg which knocks almost a grand off the purchase price of a diesel and b. resale is always higher on a diesel. Ballpark estimate, maybe it costs me $1500 to drive a diesel for 6 years. For that price I have no qualms about the initial outlay.

I would disagree there. They are higher on trucks, but not usually much else. I just checked on a 2007 WK 3.0 and the price difference on the market between it and a 5.7 is under $500. I know that my 335d is worth a fair percentage less than an identical 335i.

Read post #1 and the attached document then contact Jack Reak. Ignor the Feb 28 cutoff date.
