Re: 1st time vanity plates

Might as well post this here also so more people see it.
Ran into a problem lowering my Jeep today. I have the tow package which has the self leveling rear shocks. These shocks don't work well with the Eibach lowering springs. So I got the standard rear shocks but I also needed the upper shock mounts.....dammit!! So now I have to wait for the mounts to come in.

Re: 1st time vanity plates

It's looks good, but not for me. IMO having to buy plates is a form of taxation, so why pay more than mandated voluntarily. My father's reason for not buying vanity plates was more practical. He did not want a plate number that easy for someone to remember!

Both good reasons....and I use to think that way also.

Re: 1st time vanity plates

I'm a first time Vanity plate owner. I just got the standard plates and not thrilled about our new design of dark green and light yellow. I like being able to remember my own plates now.

That's a plus that I never thought of.....being able to remember my plate number.

For us old folks here, you used to have to remember your plate number. You had to write it on the carbon form you signed once they made a imprint of your gas card.

Hey, I remember that. They used to check your oil and clean the windshield with a rag too. But what my father meant was that he did not want the cops remembering his plate number!

Here's a pic of the front drop....the rear is still pretty much at stock height. Looks pretty silly for the time being.

Looks good! My next mod is going to be a CAI and maybe some anti sway bars and then an exhaust....really like the look of the Corsa but it's just not the sound I'm looking for. Maybe they sound different in person....I've only heard the corsa on YouTube.

Haven't really heard any exhaust system for the Jeep GC that I really like yet.
