2011 gc tpms

I have a 2011 GC without the TPMS, is it possible to buy the module and sensors and add it to my gc? does anyone know where i can find the parts?

Re: 2011 gc tpms

All vehicles starting with model year 2008 come standard with TPMS. It's there somewhere.

If for some reason you don't have them, almost any tire shop can get them and install them for you.

Re: 2011 gc tpms

I know for a fact i don't have the wheel sensors i just got my winter tires put on and i saw there was nothing. but I'm talking about the actual module that reads the info from those tire sensors. My jeep didn't have it equipped at least i don't think so. I have a 2011 laredo and in the dash menu there is no tire information.

Re: 2011 gc tpms

Laredo's have no information in the dash, higher end models show individual tire pressures.

I run wheels/tires without tpms and also dont get any lights on dash, like others said, all wk2's have tpms.

Re: 2011 gc tpms

ok sorry if this is a dumb question but if my laredo has the system is it just a matter of installing the 4 sensors in the tires? and where do i go to see the information of each tire when they are installed? for instance if i want to see the tire pressure of my front drivers where would i go? the menu in the dash has almost all the other information but i don't see tires anywhere, so if its not in the little screen in the dash then where does it appear?
thanks in advance

Re: 2011 gc tpms

Yeah, basically you'll just get the little ( ! ) indicator on older vehicles. If you get the sensors, you'll need to get them programmed. Dealerships and tire shops can do it for you.

If you want an entirely new system that will show individual tire pressures, there are some aftermarket options ($200-$400ish).

ETA: It's weird that we're already calling 2011's an older vehicle... makes me feel old.
