Brings back bad memories. I was stopped at a traffic light in my new '95 GC, behind an old clunker. There was lots of smoke between him and me. I cursed under my breath that those old polluting clunkers should be taken off the road. Just then I realized that the smoke was on the inside of my windshield, and not from the outside.
It turned out the daytime running light circuit board under my dash was in the process of being fried, causing all the smoke. Luckily, there was only a lot of heat & smoke and no fire. I got the board replaced and had no other major problems for the life of the GC.
