Order today. By the time it is built, it will be February, and it will have the 730....

I thought of that, but Milous & Jeep are indicating that isn't possible (i.e. specifying the new 730).

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

Will the summit come skid plates or something like the off road adventure group II but keep the 20" rims? also what 4WD system will be standard?

If it's not on the order sheet you won't get it, the Garmin will be substituted. And it can't be ordered until order banks are open.

No mention of skid plates so I would imagine they are not part of the package. 4wd systems will be same as the Overland, quadratracII with the V6 and Quadradrive II with the v8.

No word yet if the ORAII package will be orderable with the summit package...I wouldn't be suprised if it wasn't, since the fancy 20s are a big part of the package.

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

Order opened for the 25R package (Summit). Hemi and Off Road can be added. I'm not sure why you would pay a whole lot extra for the fancy wheels and then want to delete them for the 18" ones though.

Altogether the Tread lightly discount on the Hemi Summit VS the Hemi OVL with Saddle, adaptive cruise, was a larger price difference than I expected.
The price I was quoted, taking out the Offroad 2 package, was about $43K on the OVL and @ $ 45,400 on the Summit with Hemi.

Therefor, the tread lightly savings on the OVL with Hemi, saddle, adaptive was more than on the same vehicle with the 25R (Summit).

Although I do like the interior on the Summit, there is no way the extra chrome is worth the premium to me.

My order remains a Brilliant Bblack/Hemi/saddle/adaptive/off road 2

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

Must have missed that bit. I think the ORAII should be free on the Summit since you are getting charged a premium for the 20s and then not receiving them.

I agree, guess you would just have to get tow hooks and skid plates later.

Thumbs up Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

Great forum, happy to be a supporter. Today ordered an Overland Summit. I was told that the "Summit" package was labeled "25R". I was provided a configuration preview, but I just need to verify the items. In summary, I ordered :

- Black Overland Summit (WKJS74)
- 5.7L v8 MDS (EZH)
- Customer Preferred Package (25R)
- 5 spd automatic (DGQ)
- New Saddle/Black and leather trim (XS3 | -XT | *GL)
- MOPAR Chrome Edition Group (AEE)

I indicated I wanted the Garmin Nav, but I was not able to verify on this configuration preview. Would be interested in anyone's thoughts on how to verify this piece. Also would welcome suggestions on any other accessories or items that I should consider with this car. The process for dealer ordering doesn't exactly line up to the process that you go through on the web, etc so I just want to verify all equipment. Any thoughts appreciated. Estimated March delivery.
