There are no "refinement" choices. "New Saddle/Black - Leather Trim Seats w/Edge Welting" is the only choice.

Thanks Milous! It was the "edge welting". He asked me if I wanted it or not. I didn't know what to say and he couldn't explain it.

When actually placing the order into the system "Leather Trim Seats w/Edge Welting" has an option box to checkmark, but if it is not selected a message will pop up (at some point before completion of the order) requiring the box to be checked.

This is correct (at least when I ordered yesterday).

killer combo! nice work. FYI my dealer just told me that you have the choice of picking the various items (ie. media center) up until "D" status...with this particular car edition, you should have until January.

Thanks. I didn't place the order since I couldn't get the 730 radio. Plus, the dealer didn't even know a "Summit Edition" existed. I brought up your post on my iPhone and told him to try code "25R". Bingo, he saw the Summit edition. Then he gave me a $48K MSRP & I told him that wasn't right since I wanted a V6. He first insisted it only came with the Hemi V8. I politely told him the standard Summit comes with V6. He fumbled for 5 minutes and then came up with the correct configuration. He gave me the $45K MSRP and asked if I wanted to place the order. I laughed and said not at that price (& it was with the 430, not the 730). Now I plan to shop dealers over the next several weeks. Let the fun begin

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

Just ordered my Summit Edition, V8, 4X4, Rugged Brown. MSRP $48255. Got it for $44690 with the Tread Lightly discount. I'm praying that it will have the 730N, since the Summit Edition is supposed to have it as standard equipment. Got the dealer to put a note on the order for the 730N just in case. Fingers are crossed.

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

Congrats pooch1005! Did they give you an expected delivery date?

I watched my dealer's screen as he configured the Summit for me today. It was clearly marked as the 430 Garmin Nav and he claimed he was unable to change it. Thus, I wouldn't deal.

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

No expected delivery date yet. The salesman said he couldn't find which media center was specified. If that's the case, hopefully I'll be able to add the 730N to the order before it's too late.

@ pooch1005 + joebinotto : you can order the summit today and have the dealer put in the notes to enter the 730n once it hits real production (again he used the term "D" status, not sure if that is a legit term but anyway). I think you should be fine. I'll keep you guys posted if my dealer waffles on this point, as we want to get what we order. Details matter here (from reading these posts).

Okay. I am checking another dealer today and I will see if he offers do that or not. Bottom line, I won't trust them unless I see it on the order and even then I will make them "guarantee" the new 730 or get my $1000 hand money back.

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

where can I price out the new Summit Edition? I tried Jeep.com and Edmunds but nothing. I like to see a price and what options. I'm looking at ordering a rugged brown V8 Summit. How long is the typical waiting time? 5-6 weeks?
