$41,120 + $790 = $41,910.

As mentioned, there have been no price increases, as the Overland has always been $41,910 - but there have been credits for QL as well as the navigation radio.

Jeep publishes their pricing in 3 places - dealer code guides, the online dealer order system, and the consumer web site. Rarely do they all ever match as mistakes are common (mainly with the consumer site).

Even after QL became available, Jeep was still building vehicles without QL, they sort of phased it in. This added to the "$41,120/$41,910" price confusion as vehicles were being sold at both prices at the same time. Then add in the nav radio credits and you can see why it's difficult to keep up with the actual pricing.

Pricing for a 4WD Summit with the Hemi:

Base MSRP 4WD Overland: $41,910 ($39,423)

Base MSRP + Summit package + New Saddle surcharge + 5.7L Hemi + Destination + premium navigation*: $49,045 ($45,318)

*Base MSRP pricing includes the premium navigation radio 730N. Since the base navigation radio (Garmin RHB) is currently being substituted for the RHR, a credit of $305 ($271) will be deducted from the pricing listed above until the RHR becomes available.
Ahhhhhh......no quadra lift would explain it. Thanks. You may want to correct that on that one website since it didn't indicate the quadra lift delete issue.

@ Dan JGC : I ordered a black overland summit w/430N, w/control number. I've had really shady dealer experiences w/Chrysler in the past and share your pain here. Put $1,000 down w/dealer for good faith. Glad you got your ordered, looks like we will have the same config...eager to get it! I thought about the skid plates as well, let me know what you add to the car, I'd be interested to see what you add.

@ Milous :
My Configuration Preview : (almost identical to Dan JGC, but...)
WKJS74 - $41,120 (less Quadra-lift charge)
25R - $4,085
EZH - $1,995
XS3 - $275
AEE $995

Milous, does this mean I'm getting a Summit shipped w/o Quadra-lift? I don't see this as possible, as this feature is standard equipment on the Overland. My assumption is that when I take title of the vehicle, that I'll have a final order to reflect the more recent price increase. Never would have even thought of this but this thread made me check my config preview again.

Also, I was OTP today w/Jeep trying to get them to point me to the accessories that I'll need (iPod cables, etc.) to get the 430N as close to parity to the 730N (RHR). I'm told that the 730N will have the iPod cables in the center console rather than on the unit itself. I'd like to purchase all cables and accessories now and just get anything I need installed. Thoughts appreciated. If it's too early I'm fine with that as well. They told me to go to www.mopar.com but it wasn't clear what I should add to the 430N.

- I put down $1,000 too.

- I'd double check on the QL feature since I think they did ship some Overlands without it.....if that is a feature you want and are willing to pay for it. Of all the features, I'm not sure if it is that big of a deal for me but that's what is on my order with no way of deleting it now anyway.

- It was a tough call between the brilliant black and the mineral gray exterior colors. The white gold was not for me and the rugged brown....I think I'd have to see it first. I would think that the stone white, which is not offered on the Summit, would be sharp too.

- The skid plates will add I think around 90 lbs. I might add them later. If they were factory orderable I would have ordered them at the time of ordering, but they aren't except with the whole adventure group which oddly they charge the same amount more for with the Summit as they do with the Overland despite the Summit's more expensive polished 20" wheels versus the Overland's painted 20" wheels (if anything the Summit should get a credit since the 18" wheels should be less costly).

- I'm hoping my Summit comes with the new 730N RHR but not that big of a deal if it has the 430N instead.....but by the time they build it the 730N RHR should be available.

- I've continuously owned a Jeep Grand Cherokee since when they first came out in 1992....I think they had just been out about a month at the dealerships when I got that one. I've had every model change so am looking forward to this new one for sure!

I want this feature and expected it in the order.

I would think that the stone white, which is not offered on the Summit, would be sharp too. DN: agree w/your thoughts...I was close on the mineral also, but eager to get the black. I think the nappa w/black trim is the perfect compliment.

DN: noticed the same. I had some installed on my current Jeep GC (98') and eventually had to take them out as the screws rusted and they were about to fall off. I could go either way here.

- I'm hoping my Summit comes with the new 730N RHR but not that big of a deal if it has the 430N instead.....but by the time they build it the 730N RHR should be available. DN: I'm fine w/the 430N (I like Garmin, already have a Nuvi and love it) but am curious as the the "optional" features that can be achieved by accessory. Maybe Milous knows this part.

- I've continuously owned a Jeep Grand Cherokee since when they first came out in 1992....I think they had just been out about a month at the dealerships when I got that one. I've had every model change so am looking forward to this new one for sure!
DN: I'm a little behind you but in the same boat. I think this release is the best yet.

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

It is my understanding QL is a standard with all Overlands 4x4 (although the first builds in the summer didn't have it) and for sure with Summit 4x4.

Yep....it is SUPPOSED to be, but then again so is the 730N. If I were a betting man, I'd bet that the yet to be built Summits would have the QL and any past priced configurations will be adjusted accordingly. However, as a buyer, I would want this nailed down if it is a feature that is important to me.

Dan, per Milous (several pages back) it should be with QL. But you are right, I won't assume anything. When & if I ever place my order, I will specify QL.

So just curious if people don't mind sharing this info. Wondering for those that have purchased a 5.7L 4WD "Summit", what they ended up paying?

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Edition

Hi, All. I, too am trying to order an Overland 4x4-not a summit edition. I want a stone white/saddle interior vehicle with the new 730n media center as well as the off road package, the MOPAR chrome edition group, and the advanced warning/adaptive cruise package. It seems that the radio is available, but no production date and the saddle interior is now only for the summit edition and I can't get stone white in the summit edition. Any thoughts or info on this is greatly appreciated. Also, what do the FFP and EP letters mean on the configuration sheet? Thanks for the help!

Welcome, CG. I can answer the 2nd question (above). FFP is Friends & Family Pricing, which is 1% under invoice. EP is Employee Pricing and I'm not sure of the exact discount rate of that one.

You should look for ways to qualify for FFP through groups that have affiliate programs with Chrysler. One that is popular among this group is www.treadlightly.org. You join TL.org for $25 and after 30 days as a member you qualify for FFP. Once a TL member you can generate a "control number" online which you take along with your membership letter to a dealer when buying off the lot or placing a factory order. All of them are supposed to honor it but in practice some will resist; depends on the individual market forces. Chrysler charges a $75 fee on vehicles ordered under this program but there are supposed to be no other dealer fees. Again, this varies and dealers will invariably try to add junk fees if you are not vigilant. Still, it's a pretty nice discount, and it can be combined with any other incentives that Chrysler offers.

I think you will find the members here will fall over themselves to assist you should you have any other questions.

About $44600. Don't have my order sheet in front of me. Used treadlightly discount, so 1% below invoice.
