So what about a 70th anniversary edition? i have a 2001 WJ 60th Anniversary unit with almost 120k on it and it is getting a little ragged around the edges.... :p

Orders for the 70th anniversary model Jeeps will open up on the same day, November 11th. I have not been able to find out any other information other than the order date. I expect that Jeep will make an announcement on these models as well as the Summit Edition on or before 11/11.

Hope it is similar in content to mine - i believe in 2001 there were no options that were not on the 60th anniv. and it was based on the Limited (no overland then)...
however for the 65th they, and i'm guessing it was mb, cheapened it up to the point i didn't even consider it... it looked to me like a stripped down laredo and had, iirc, a 6 in it instead of the 4.7 mine has....
Hope we dont repeat that mess.....

I think the 65th anny edition came in multiple flavors. I had a 65 Anny Laredo that just added door badges, logo embroidered in the front seats and packaged the 6 disk changer, cruise, sunroof etc. I bought mine in Nov of 06 and got a smoking deal. But, I've also seen 65 Annies that were Limiteds so I'm thinking you could order Anniversary edition package on top of any trim level.

And, Jeep Green??? I grew up at a time when that color was on lots of trucks...of course they were labeled Bell Telephone!
Yuck!
Mine (2001 60th anny) is Silverstone (looks kinda like the color in the wk2 commcercials) and "light taupe" leather interior.... It also came as Black with the same interior..

I wish they would put rock rails back on the Overlands like my 2002 had.

Some more info from the manager at the local dealer, (not much). It was briefly mentioned at a dealers meeting, black and white photo only. Summit is a "trim package" on the Overland. May be available only with the saddle interior. Frustrating, as he doesn't remember much and they didn't have any further info, not even the order date that was already mentioned.

Maybe it will be the off road version that has the mini lift.

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Off-Road Edition
To get ready for the off-road, go big. Case in point: the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Off-Road Edition.
The 5.7-liter V8-powered silver Jeep Grand Cherokee boasts a suspension lifted with coil springs to make way for 33-inch BFG Mud-Terrain tires. The exterior is prepped for off-road battle courtesy of Mopar skid plates, rock rails and tow hooks. The interior has been upfitted with the Mopar bright/rubber pedal kit and sill guards.

It's not that.

Production starts in December and the whole interior is Saddle including the entire dash, looks quite good actually. the wheels will be 20" chrome along with some other chrome accents including a different grille. The picture I saw........ the dash looks awesome in the saddle color. December production means November orders so just a couple more weeks people!

I would love to see some pics of exterior/interior and more info

Seems odd that there is absolutely no info on something the orders open for on 11/10 or 11/11.

What a ball buster, when I opened the forum, this thread was on top and I thought, "YES! FINALLY SOME INFO!, only to find...nothing much.
