Yeah the Summit interior is one of those that you either love it or hate it.

It's not tooo late to change your order to a Summit! LOL

I almost bought a black exterior with the dark/light frost interior 4x4 V8 with adaptive cruise control Overland. It is a great look for sure. But I wanted something a bit different so ordered the Summit instead. I've had 5-7 new Grand Cherokees continuously since 1992 (lost count) and had the V8 5.9L one with the vents in the hood that was a dark charcoal metallic and that was a fine looking vehicle. You're gonna love the new Jeep even if you don't change your order to a Summit...

I got an offer for a Summit Edition, 4X4, Hemi, Rugged brown.
For $44,712.50. that does not include taxes ect. But it does include the $780 freight fee as well as a $250 processing fee.
I got it through a military buying program, they beat the TL 1% below invoice offer by $300 and I got a $500 rebate. If any other rebates become available between now and when I pick it up they will honor those rebates as well.
They told me it would be ready by the April 2nd, when arrive back in the states.

I also tried to get the 730N but it is not available yet. We are going to wait until the last minute to place the order to have a Apr. 2nd delivery and hope the 730N will be available at that time. It is suppose to be available Jan. 17th to order.

The MSRP is $48,990

Its nice but it looks too much like a Larado.

The "$41,120" MSRP price you have seen is the price of the Overland without Quadra-Lift. When the Overland was introduced, the MSRP was $41,910 but had a temporary credit deduction of $790 since QL was not available at launch.

$41,120 + $790 = $41,910.

As mentioned, there have been no price increases, as the Overland has always been $41,910 - but there have been credits for QL as well as the navigation radio.

Jeep publishes their pricing in 3 places - dealer code guides, the online dealer order system, and the consumer web site. Rarely do they all ever match as mistakes are common (mainly with the consumer site).

Even after QL became available, Jeep was still building vehicles without QL, they sort of phased it in. This added to the "$41,120/$41,910" price confusion as vehicles were being sold at both prices at the same time. Then add in the nav radio credits and you can see why it's difficult to keep up with the actual pricing.

Pricing for a 4WD Summit with the Hemi:

Base MSRP 4WD Overland: $41,910 ($39,423)

Base MSRP + Summit package + New Saddle srcharge + 5.7L Hemi + Destination + premium navigation*: $49,045 ($45,318)

*Base MSRP pricing includes the premium navigation radio 730N. Since the base navigation radio (Garmin RHB) is currently being substituted for the RHR, a credit of $305 ($271) will be deducted from the pricing listed above until the RHR becomes available.

So justto confirm, a summit with a hemi has an invoice of 45318? Thanks!

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

Can someone please clarify what the deal/difference is in the "stitching" of the Saddle interior in the Summit vs. the Overland is??

It is the stitching that includes the Overland Summit on the seats plus some double stitching.

For me, the additional exterior chrome, especially the wheels which would be costly to swap out, the additional saddle to complete the saddle in the upper instead of the Overland two-tone interior look and the black wood is what sold me on the Summit.
