Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

Mr. Fixxit, I received an email from Jeep today that stated the 730N RHR radio is now available. I am going to a dealer Saturday to hopefully place an order for the Overland 4x4. Also, it seems that the saddle interior is now available with the Stone white. If any one knows something different from all of this please let me know so that I will be more knowledgeable when I get to the dealer. Thanks for the help!

Ordering for the RHR opened on Wednesday 1/12 ($465 MSRP). Saddle interior is $275 MSRP and is available with Stone White as well as all of the other exterior colors.

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

HELP!! What is the best price for a Summit V6? I know about TL & the 1% below dealer invoice but the spread between invoice and MSRP seems to be lower with the Summit (like $3,350). I am going tomorrow. Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm not sure you're gonna get much below the TL on a Summit since it is an order and with the Overlands selling very well it seems there is a large buyer appetite for the high end Grand Cherokees which presumably will carry upward to the Summits too.

I'd start off seeing if they will deal and what you can get without the TL....then do the TL if they won't do better. Keep us posted!

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

I attend NAIAS as media, and they had a Summit there. Extremely nice leather--but from the thread I gather this is the same leather in the Overland? My main concern would be how well it will hold up, since it's relatively unprocessed compared to the typical car leather. I hear that similar leather in the F-150 King Ranch holds up very poorly.

Yo Candy Girl, just happened to be passing a Jeep dealer today, and stopped in. They had just gotten in a White "Overland" with a "Cream (NOT Saddle) colored full leather interior. I FLIPPED! I mean, this was probably the classiest color combo I've seen. So much so, that I'm re-thinking my "Summit" purchase and may switch to an Overland. For the extra money the Summit costs, I really don't see that much of a difference between the two vehicles. And then to be forced to choose from Four Colors, none of which I'm "In Love With".....I just don't know.

I also noticed that this Overland had the criss-cross "mesh" front grille, similar to the Summit but just not "Chrome". I don't remember seeing this grille on a previous Overland I saw. Does anyone know if this is something they're doing now, that they didn't do before?

Also, frankly I like the "Brushed" finish on the wheels more than the "polished" finish on the Summit's wheels. Hmmm.....lot's of thinking going on here.

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

The black mesh grill insert has been on all the Overlands I have seen. The dark/light frost beige interior is nice and you can't go wrong with that nice Stone White (much better than the off-white pearl colors some other vehicles come in).

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

Yeah, thanks Dan. I agree. Also I guess I just didn't notice the grille on other Overlands I've seen. Maybe because they've all been in "dark" colors and there wasn't as much "contrast" as the white.

Also, this may be the wrong forum (forgive me if so), but does anyone have the link to the wk2jeeps.com 2011 "Overland" pricing (MSRP vs. Invoice)?

I have the link for the "Summit" and can't find the one for the regular "Overland".

I'd really like to get this info before I go in and order.
