Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

wsw523 --- The pricing from that website omitted the Quadra-Lift price included as standard with the Summit for the V6 (was included with the listing under the V8 though). The MSRP $4,085 is correct for the 25R Summit no matter the engine (V6 vs. V8). All's good............

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

wsw523 .... I think I am wrong on the quadra-lift pricing since that was included in the Overland 4x4 base of $41,910. But the 25R (for V8) is $4,085 on everyone's HOWEVER you have the 26R......which is for the V6.......but both should be the same regardless and it is at $4,085. That website at wk2jeep.com has me confused since it lumps things together such as the $4,085+$1,995 for the V8 as $6,080 which is correct. Your's being a V6 should be only $4,085.......the $2,995 must have been the price BEFORE the ACC was available and since ACC is standard on the Summit (optional on the Overland) it is now included in the price so bumps it up to $4,085....

So base Overland (whether 4x2 or 4x4) + $4,085 (Summit trim with ACC) + Engine if V8 + Destination. That's the much easier way to price it!!!

Regardless....all is still good!

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

My order went in at the beginning of the year (not sure the exact date dealer put it in but was first week). I have a VIN, in D status, I think is in D1 status now...(I hope). If they start a production run of Summits then who knows I might have mine by the end of February....one can hope.....

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

wsw523 - Your build sheet pricing indicates the new 730N RHR is in your order....

Actually, when you price everything out it looks like the "upcharge" to get the special color treatment is pretty much zero once you factor in the polished wheels, chrome package and 730N radio upgrades.

If the interior treatment tripped my trigger I would be right there in line with one on order. Luckily for my wallet I don't like it any better than the base Overland

But I do like those Polished wheels! Maybe someone with a Summit who would rather have the "less bling" painted wheels will want to work out a swap...... You never know.
You pretty much summarized why I spent the extra and ordered the Summit. But add in the additional reason that we don't know when the Saddle interior will be available for the regular Overlands, and I'm afraid to wait that long.

As for the wheels - yeah, the polished 20s are nice. Unfortunately, since I'm getting ORG II, I will get the 18s. They are described as polished too, although I don't know if they'll have the high polish of the regular Summit wheels.

The pricing info on the WK2 site has now been simplified. The reason for the grouping ("$4,085+$1,995") was that Jeep originally presented it that way in their order system. It should me much easier to decipher now.
