Its the difference between "great" and "good enough".

I agree totally.
the question should have been asked -
Is the wk2 better off road with or without a front elsd?

If good enough is good enough, who give a flying flip about great?

I prefer they spend the time, effort, and money on places where I WILL notice the difference.

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

^ I'm not shyttyng on this thread. I'm hoping the summit edition is release with a front LSD.

I thinks its very obvious that the LSD improves performance otherwise why put one in the back? Discussing the front lsd in situations where one wheel is in the air is not what I'm focusing on. Its in the soft stuff like snow, sand, or mud.

I will leave this thread now as its apparently for those that only care about labels and not performance. So carry on your discussion about 20" rims and flashy chrome for show only parts.

Thanks for the space,
JJ

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

the truth is jj, the new jeep may not be perfect, what car is though? but if you drop 45 on the overland i can tell you for a fact that you will get a great suv. its almost as good, if not better than the x5 in a lot of areas, off road, looks, options. sure, the x5 has an edge in some respects, but for 25k less....i just dont know....ive seen those x5's stuck in the hard packed down obx sand while i drove right on by in my 08 limited gc. im not saying the jeep is better but for the money, it isnt much of a contest. ps, my wife said help them out as we came up on the snobby (assumption) x5/yukon denali/hummer h3 drivers and so i did, i rolled the window down and told them to buy a jeep, rolled the window up and continued to go where bmw's have never been before....its true. so while you whine about things you know nothing about i blast sand into your x5 sunroof as i speed past you on the beach.
