Dan

Thanks for the reply. I did the 4x4 as well with the V8. How was my price compared to you?

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

I just did the affiliate pricing so $45,180.

Invoice for a 4x4 V8 Summit with standard paint (such as black) is $45,636.

The pano roof was a feature that I really wanted so no DVD for me too.

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

Is anyone that ordered a rugged brown 4x4 summit with new 730 in D1 yet?

I've seen a Summit in person....it isn't too much saddle. in fact it looks better than the Overland with 2/3's saddle in my opinion (both are good though). The light color on the dash thing is purely nonsensical and was posted by someone who #1 posts against the Summit for some reason and #2 has never seen a Summit in person.

X2... I saw two new Summits (both 430's) today in the flesh for the first time. The saddle looked 100x better than it presents in photos. What I noticed, however, is that the dark wood trim was so dark that in bright sun it had virtually no visable grain or texture. It looked plain black....!

Not sure I'm crazy about the black "wood". Also, don' t know why that put that additional "silly looking stitching" on the seats?? IMO it seems to "cheapen" the look. Again, I haven't seen it "in person" so who knows.

There isn't any additional seat stitching....that was just on the sample one. Looks like they went a bit heavy with the stain om the wood....will see.

There is NO crazy stitching that was confirmed on actual Summits at dealerships. I didnt order a Summit so doesnt matter to me anyway but they for sure made the right decision on dropping the ugly what I like to call cowboy stitching. Thank god, that looked hideous and did not match or go with anything in that interior. The Saddle seats in the summit are identical to the standard Overland with saddle.

I think the black stained wood is the only way to go with that much brown/tan in the interior. One of the things that eventually turned me off of the saddle on my Overland was the contrast to the blond wood trim. It's one of those contrasts where the color is close but not quite the same.

If they hadn't changed to a black stained wood the interior would end up looking flat since there wouldn't be anything to break up all the tan.
