Are there any members that have 100,000+ miles on an 2011 WK2 with the hemi?

How are they holding up? What are the reasonable lifetimes of these jeeps?

I'm at 270,000 miles on my patriot and I want to pick up a GC without picking up a new car payment.

Thanks for the replies.

It's a hit or miss kind of a thing when it comes to car luck. My 2011 V6 has been bullet proof and I'm currently at 73k miles. All until now of course lol. It's currently at the dealer because of a misfire. I'm hoping it's either a coil pack or plug. Either way, small things like that are expected and I chalk it up to wear and tear.

Chances are if we ever replace our WK2, it'll be with another Jeep.

Good luck with your hunt.

That seems nuts. I am sure if you look thoroughly that you could do much better. At that point, I'd buy new because that car is more than 50% used up. So that car with 1/2 life left would mean you're paying $40k for that car and that's the worse 1/2 life. But given that I got a 2013 Overland with 22.5k miles and a hemi (and tech package) for under $34k several months back I'm not buying that you can't do better.

I cant speak for the 3rd gen hemis since i have an 83k 05 5.7. That mileage is a little scary. 4 years max with 120? That's about 30k per year. That's 10 oil changes, change both diffs oils, 16 new spark plugs per year with whatever else had problems. If they followed the recommended service for it. If your dead set on it then look into the service record thoroughly and hope they took care of it. Best of luck!

If it has 120k and all receipts for maintenance, parts, service, and looks, drives great that is fine. If not, kindly walk away, as a can of worms likely lies beneath. My 06 has 170k, not a scratch or ding and has been reliable for many years, after spending a ton on maint, and new parts everywhere, all better than OEM; I will never use Mopar unless forced to.

I paid $13k for a 2011 Laredo HEMI with 76k miles on it, in 2018. It was in the middle of the Kelly Blue Book value, but also a 70th Anniversary model with several premium options on a more basic vehicle and the very unique Bronze paint color. The previous owner smoked in it, and it had cooling system and brake system problems, not obvious or serious problems, but I could tell from my own inspection and test drive.

Scrubbing every square inch of the interior and shampooing the carpet 3 times, a charcoal cabin air filter and then keeping several boxes of baking soda open in the cabin does wonders for getting rid of the smoking odors. Mostly gone in a month, totally gone in 3 months, only when the carpet got wet it would release some smoke odors for another couple of months after that.

I'm at 125k miles, the engine is still great. But lots chassis and brake problems to fix and they keep breaking. I can not stop the cooling system from leaking, as soon as I figure out the leak and fix it, a month later it starts leaking in a new spot. My aftermarket water pump with 49k miles started leaking at the shaft seal and I just replaced it, hopefully this is the final leak. And one of my heavily rusted parking brake cables just snapped, I've ordered the parts for that. And my brakes have been working perfectly for an entire year, so clearly something has to go on that, and the only part I haven't replaced has been the hard lines, ABS Module and Vacuum Booster, and my Vacuum Booster is leaking down within an hour after shutting down the motor, so that needs replaced soon.

Sometimes the MDS will have a noticeable vibration to it, but more often its perfectly smooth. I think it might be hotter air temperatures, cause its summer now and I can notice some engine vibe in MDS mode, when its been perfectly smooth and unnoticeable for a long time, like a whole year? A whole year? Like last summer, when air temperatures were over 90°F:unsure: When I have tried 87 Octane gas I think it creates some noticeable MDS vibe, I use 89 Octane exclusively, the engine is much more responsive with that Octane. (which is what the O.M. basically says).

Nope, figured the MDS vibe issue out....
When I thought back to feeling MDS vibe was when I had bad motor mounts. When I had good motor mounts, I could not feel any Vibes when in MDS....

I have started to feel some vibes while in MDS and some rough running, making me suspect if I had one of the motor mounts go bad. Notice an oil spot pulling out yesterday, it looks like it came from the passenger side motor mount and the the engine is not level, leaning toward the side with the suspected bad motor mount.

So this explains why the MDS vibe is now noticeable again in my vehicle, already ordered new motor mounts. Last time I went with aftermarket, 50k miles later, one is shot, so I went with OEM this time.
