Re: 2011 Jeep "Street" Grand Cherokee

The pics I've seen so far look as if the paint is a lighter color, and not as dark as the Dark Charcoal Pearl from the factory. Anyone else notice this or is it just the indoor lighting the vehicle is under?

Lumbering is not any word to describe an SRT8. Especially when you're passing other sport cars in the turns and on the dragstrip.
Every pound counts, so CF does eliminate weight.

Re: 2011 Jeep "Street" Grand Cherokee

Someone please advise the weight difference between a WK factory aluminium hood and one of the aftermarket "carbon" (which are really fibreglass with a carbon overlay ) please?

I think your reasoning may be undermined a little

I run a carbon hood on my Nissan GTR, but it is real, dry carbon, and has a tangible weight saving over the factory aluminium hood.

If you want it on a Jeep for the look however, that's fair enough, but weight saving? Hardly.

Re: 2011 Jeep "Street" Grand Cherokee

Like I said, real dry carbon reduces weight. I hadn't considered the alternative as an option.
