Re: 2011 Overland Dk Charcoal Quadra Lift Video

How would you compare the ride on this QL equipped to the original Overland you probably test drove without QL?

Did this one not have the Off road package? I see the 20 inch wheels. I know someone in another thread asked if you had to get the Off Road package to get QL.

Re: 2011 Overland Dk Charcoal Quadra Lift Video

Huh. There's another video that's been floating around showing the QL in action. I remember in that other one, the QL is shown to be much quicker; because of that, it was much more obvious. One thing I remember is that you could see how it would raise/lower the frond a bit, then switch and do the rear end, then switch back to the front end, then rear, etc. It didn't lower the front and back at the same time. I'm now going to assume that other video is sped up. Can't for the life of me find it on youtube now, what with the flood of other WK2 videos there now.

North Jersey. If you're in the area, I can give you the VIN to keep an eye on it. There was another Overland, same specs that was sold while the vehicle was in transit. There's a lot of demand in my area, so they are tough to come by and people have the cash to pay.

Plenty of Laredos, small amount of limited, and overlands are far and few between.

Hmm... well it certainly wasn't any worse. If anything, I feel it's a little but more of a smoother, but not in a spongy way. It ate up the speed bumps and train tracks I've come to hate near my house, so for me I was happy

Part of me is nervous it's new technology for Jeep, but the other half was annoyed at paying for an overland and not getting it (like the one I test drove in July).

Only time will tell. I think I'm going to get the extended warranty anyway just to be on the safe side.

I have to say it is quicker in the flesh under normal confitions.. Part of it was my wife working it from the passenger seat and yelling when it got to the final height, so there is some delay cause of that. It was also only the second time we did it, so it was a little hard to predict what was happening without me being inside.

When you're closer to is you can see it moving. In the end I think that's a good thing that's it's subtle.

EDIT - I watched the other video and I can say it's the same spead as that in real life. I think the difference was how far away I was standing when I shot the video
