Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

Become a member of Tread Lightly ($25 membership fee). Members are eligible for Chrysler Affliates Rewards pricing (1% below invoice). When you get your membership package in the mail, there is an instruction sheet on what to do on the Chrysler website to get your discount number. Bring the discount number with you when you're ready to order/buy and you'll get the 1% below invoice price. That's what I did when I ordered my Summit Edition yesterday. No haggling or issues with the discount. Saved be about $3600.

Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

Funny thing, I just asked a dealer here in California for that deal and he said NO. He said that Overlands are in too much demand and he won't sale one of his allotted Overlands to any one below invoice. He went on to say that he can (& does) charge full MSRP and even a premium for Overlands & especially for the Summit.

Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

I was worried about that with my dealer, but they gave me absolutely no problems. I asked them if they'd honor the discount and the response was "Absolutely. All we need is your control number." I would try a different dealer if I were you.

That dealer just wants to save that unit for some putz who hasn't done his homework on jeepgarage.org. The discount program is between TL.org and Chrysler and should be honored by all dealers. I spoke with a helpful guy from Chrysler's incentives department and he made it clear that dealers didn't lose money when they moved a unit under this program.

Of course, there's no accounting for how individual dealers choose to run their businesses and treat their customers.

As soon as I get my control number (signed up yesterday) and when they accept 730 orders, I will try with earnest. I will knock on every dealer's door to get that price.

Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

Although demand in AZ for the Overland is on par with CA, dealerships are accepting the Tread Lightly Chrysler Affiliate discount.

5.7 4x4 Overland
Saddle
Tech Package
Chrome Package

$42,000 + tax/tags. Includes 1% below invoice price. I think this is a great price for these options. Otherwise I'd be at $39,500 without Saddle, Tech and Chrome.

Oh, and btw, I noticed that the price of the 5.7 has been reduced from $1995 to $1495 on the most recent POC I came across.

Very interesting. This afternoon I chatted on the phone with my local dealer and he was touting the 5.7L. He even said that it would probably ship faster than a V6. I told him that this was counterintuitive since Jeep expected the majority of buyers to opt for the 3.6L and wouldn't this build dominate the production lines? He gave me some BS reply which I took it with a grain of salt. He then tried to undercut his fellow sales consultant who I have been working with by encouraging me to call him instead. It's like the Wild West out there right now.

Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

Trying to figure out if the tread lightly discount is as good as what they quoted me. What is invoice on a Overland 4x4 Hemi ACC. What about 47,000 MSRP, wonder what 1% below invoice equates too?
