Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

Is this a good deal?

The dealer today offered me the following deal on a 2011 JGC that was the owners car and has 3k miles on it. I would not be penalized on the miles.
39 months
10k miles per year
$3500 total due at signing.
$359 a month all in (including tax, etc.)

They told me I am only getting such a good deal because they want to move the car and it has 3k miles already on it. Is this a deal that I should jump on? The color is the dark blue which I like but is not my favorite. Willing to live with it though if I am getting a great deal on it.

Can anyone offer some advice on whether I should do the deal? This is a base Jeep - cloth seats, no sunroof. Only thing it does have is the convenience package - remote starts, garage opener, bluetooth, etc.

Does anyone know of a dealership in California that is offering good prices? I'm looking at getting a Summit shortly, and seeing some of the prices you guys paid would make that a sure thing.

Indeed. Taxes (9.75%) get me so upset out here, I'm leasing it for 3 years.
Title was around $450.

In Cali, you pay the full tax on a purchase, but on a lease, you only pay the tax on each payment, so a $100 payment would add $9.75 tax.

What really tweaks me is if you trade in your car, you still have to pay the full tax. It's a crime!

The real crime is what we pay in Oz. $78,000 for Overland. Only hemi available. Dollar is virtually 1:1.

Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

I purchased a "dealer assist" GC with 600 miles.
GC Overland, hemi, RER, Dark Charcoal, Black Int. $39,000
The dealer assist was due to problems with the air ride. Works just fine now. Still has that new car smell .

Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

I started the email game with the dealers in the area this week.

I originally wanted the Stone White Laredo X with Ebony Interior with the Nav System, but after seeing it on the road it is a lot more a cream color and less bright white especially when dirty than I originally thought.

So far I have been offered what I want in black for $34814 + TTL but I am guessing they are going to have to get this from another dealer somewhere because it is not on their site's inventory

I have also been offered $34390 + TTL for either stone white or charcoal that are in stock. Decisions, Decisions...
