Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

I offered $33 for a X with adventure 1, trailer package, hemi. MSRP was roughly $40k and was told $38.5 was the lowest they could go. I thought it was funny that their argument was that they need to make $1000 over invoice bc if they sell for invoice they arent making any money. I know there are many stupid people out there who would believe that but there is no way a dealer could make enough profit to stay open if they bought cars at invoice.

Any chance that we would know what the incentives are for 2011's prior to 9/7? e.g. if they are the same, I will take delivery this week vs. waiting to see....
Few days away from the current incentives expiring. Does anyone know if dealers know what they will be on 9/7 or is that when they find out? Maybe there's another "source" a day or two before? Appreciate any input as I try and figure out when to take delivery...

Hey Hemi,

You worked a sweet deal. I read you full story post...nice. You could make some side cash working as a negotiator for other car buyers! Congrats!

Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

I threw out an offer of $34k and they came back with a $34,500 counter. This was for an X Package 3.6L 4x4 with Tow, Single Sunroof, Navigation and All Weather Group (MSRP was $39,575).

Thoughts? Does this seem like a solid deal to you folks?

Seems good to me (is a lot less than I was able to get in March), but how does it compare to invoice less factory rebates and discounts?

The dollars are off about $150 but my data shows:

MSRP $39,425
Invoice $37,710
Dealer cost (Invoice - 3% holdback) $34,952

With the $1000 rebate, the dealer's making only about $500. I'd say that's pretty solid.

Isn't 3% x $37,710 = $1,131? That would make dealer cost $36,578...

Subtract $1000 from that and you are at $35,578.

I'm pretty impressed that dalhberg123 can get an offer that's about $1000 under dealer cost.

Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

The MSRP of the model I want is $46,875. How do I find invoice and or dealer cost? Just using the MSRP what would be a good offer to make?
