2012 Overland, v8, side steps / running boards, engine heater, rear DVD.

Beautiful vehicle! Haven't been this excited or happy with a car since I bought my first new car in 1981.

MSRP Price was around 49,000.

Paid 39,400 OTD plus 300 sales tax in South Carolina.

Only wish I had Adaptive cruise control!

Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

Hi guys -

Looking to pick up a laredo x this weekend. They've offered to come down to $34000. Do you all think this is a good deal for this vehicle?

Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

I think you should be able to get them down a little bit lower from 34k. I don't know how it is in MN, but I was able to buy my new 2012 V6 Overland for around 37,000. So I would think a good price would be no higher than 33,500 and a great price would be below 32,500. I know I got some '11 Limiteds with around 15-20,000 miles on them quoted for 33,000 here in Maryland. Either way, 34k is not a bad price but you can do better in my opinion. Good luck!!

I agree with rockrash. I picked up a 2012 loaded limited for 35k, that used Laredo x is a sour deal at much above 30k.

Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

Hi Guys--

I'm new to the boards and looking to buy a 2011 or 12 Overland (Summit if it happens to be available and the deal is right) with a V8. Found a new 2011 Summit leftover with a sticker of $49,500 and they are asking $42,500 right now. So--a couple of things, please: first, what's a good deal for this vehicle, and second, am I better off looking for a 2012? I'm in southeastern PA--anyone have any advice as to who to see for a great deal? Any tips/advice are much appreciated.

Side note: is QDII worth it over QTII? The 2011 that I'm referencing above seems to have only QTII. QDII is *not* standard on the Summit, right?

I've read this whole thread--good stuff! Thanks in advance, all...and sorry if I violated any rules in my post. Again--thanks!

Welcome to Jeep Garage!

All Overland Summits (2011 and 2012) come standard with QDII.

2011 Overland has QDII. 2012 Overland has QTII unless you add the ORAII option which includes QDII (ELSD).

I don't think QDII is needed for 99.9% of people, unless you are climbing large uneven roads off-road. QDII is helpful mostly when you're on only three wheels. Also, QDII has the rear ELSD (electronic limited slip differential) that can have problems and give you a "Service 4 Wheel Drive" message.

2011s with the Hemi had a much higher chance of having a "shudder" problem when accelerating slightly around 45-50 miles per hour that is a vibration felt throughout the entire vehicle so bad that people with this problem, that some still have not been fixed, makes the owners very unhappy and they end up hating their Jeep.

I had these concerns and waited 8 months to get a 2012 Overland Hemi.

Note: If a vehicle does have QDII (it will still include QTII on the vehicle and on the Window Sticker).

2011s have already depreciated considerably and I think the final price is never enough to make up for the older year vehicle, including the price you were offered for that Summit.

Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

Thanks for the quick reply, jgc4ever,

Seems to be so much mis/disinformation out there, so thanks for clarifying. So if I understand you correctly, all Summits (2011 or 2012) have QDII, even thought the window sticker does not show it as an option or include it in the list of standard equipment? Why would Jeep do that? Is there a way to see something in the interior or in an option code somewhere that it's definitively "in" the Jeep?

Also--if the Overland has QDII (whether a 2011 or 2012), then does that also mean that it definitely comes with Selec-terrain *and* Quadra-lift, or must those be ordered separately for both model years?

Finally--what causes that shudder? What is it about the 2012 that gets rid of it? Was it that prominent in 2011?

Thanks again!
