There is also dealer holdback. And there may be some other incentives that are not public.

I guess it all really comes down to having a reference point. And in that respect I think invoice is better than a sticker price. Plus, it is a known fact that majority of the the dealer profit doesn't come from new car sales but from used sales, service and financing. Also, not everyone is as informed as visitors to this site, so a lot of people pay sticker or more than invoice - more profit is made on these transactions.

I'm in Cleveland as well, which dealership did you go to was it North Olmsted or Brunswick?

I went to Brunswick. I also went to adventure jeep. Anywhere but Deacons, they were the worst dealership by far.

Cool and no trouble getting it at invoice? Any tricks that you used? I also read somewhere on here where someone used this program http://www.treadlightly.org/page.php/chrysler_discount. Can anyone confirm if it works? 1% below invoice it says.

I had no problem at all. In fact, I wasn't in the dealership more than 15 minutes. I just walked in and said "hey this is what I will pay, take it or leave it." After that we just did a bit of paperwork and I was on my way.

Sounds good, so you just asked to see the invoice, and that is the price you paid correct?

Actually it was even better than that, I just said I know you dont have what I want so lets order one. We sat down at the managers desk and I built what I wanted. The Invoice and MSRP are right there on the screen for you to see. I said great, I'll pay that. Then they tried to whack me with a 250 doc fee which I said I wouldnt pay or I would walk. So they took 250 off the price, but still charged the fee.

I was honestly there no more than 15-20 minutes. I really only dealt with the salesman for like 5 minutes....maybe.

Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

The dealer has a pretty generous hold-back that was not so high in time gone by. Lots of them live off the hold backs these days....as everyone knows the invoice prices. My dealer gets $500 over....and is a small town dealer. He is entitled to some profit to my way of thinking.

Re: 2011 WK2 Prices Paid

Add around $10k to those prices and that's what they are in Canada. $50,835 CDN is what I paid for an Overland Hemi with Q/L and a smart program (paint, dent, scratch repair) for 3 years. And I shopped around the city. Only deals are on Laredos...once you go to Laredo X or higher...you're going back and forth from dealer to dealer to get the lowest price. Enjoy your American prices!

Window sticker on my Overland was 46255, we paid 43000 for ours from Classic Jeep of Denton TX.
Overland 4x4, Hemi V8, saddle black interior, adaptive cruise control group.
I think I did pretty well...
