$42,000 + tax/tags. Includes 1% below invoice price. I think this is a great price for these options. Otherwise I'd be at $39,500 without Saddle, Tech and Chrome.
Oh, and btw, I noticed that the price of the 5.7 has been reduced from $1995 to $1495 on the most recent POC I came across.
Very interesting. This afternoon I chatted on the phone with my local dealer and he was touting the 5.7L. He even said that it would probably ship faster than a V6. I told him that this was counterintuitive since Jeep expected the majority of buyers to opt for the 3.6L and wouldn't this build dominate the production lines? He gave me some BS reply which I took it with a grain of salt. He then tried to undercut his fellow sales consultant who I have been working with by encouraging me to call him instead. It's like the Wild West out there right now.
Trying to figure out if the tread lightly discount is as good as what they quoted me. What is invoice on a Overland 4x4 Hemi ACC. What about 47,000 MSRP, wonder what 1% below invoice equates too?
overland 4wd v6 with adventure II for 40900, i know that's above invoice but that was one of only 3 of this configuration in 200 miles radius and my toyota started developing some erratic behavior
Just spoke with one of Carmax's locations that handles new vehicle sales (most only do late model pre-owned sales). They are offering WK2's at about $1000 under invoice, which beats even the 1% under invoice preferred pricing from the TreadLightly.org affiliate program ($25 membership fee to join TL.org). This is no-haggle pricing. You pay the price on the window plus a $3 "lemon law" fee which they told me is a straight pass-through by law. You then pay your tax/tag/titling fees in cash at your home DMV (assuming you are buying out of state).
Of particular interest is that this pricing also applies to factory orders. Of course there is still the same waiting period.
One catch: They require a non-refundable $500 deposit on factory orders. For the committed, cost-conscious, and patient buyer, this would not be an issue. But you would not be able to bail on your order w/o a penalty.
The other catch: CarMax dealers who sell new vehicles are relatively rare, and franchise rules prevent them from shipping vehicles to other markets. Therefore, this buying approach would likely require a road trip. Factor in time, hassles, and expense of this when calculating overhead and net savings. Or, look at it as an extra bonus.
I closed the deal on my Overland tonight. V8, + tech
paid 41,750 + Tax. I was able to take advantage of affiliate pricing my company has with Chrysler. Easy, no haggle, in and out of the dealer in under 2 hours.
Upon delivery (Jan.15th) I will pay $42,500. does not include sales tax. Dealer will pay $500. coupon if Chrysler refuses. ( Hemi, saddle/black,mineral gray, offroad pkg, adapt cruise- no dvd. ) If he does not stick to this deal w/ my $500. order deposit & 3 month wait, I will walk over to my 03 denali w/ only 67k miles and put another 100k on it . . . its been a great car w/zero problems.
Yesterday evening only i bought Blackberry Laredo 4x4 with X pkg, V6, 430 N, Trailer hitch package.. for 35,500 + Tax + Doc. Fee. No rebates or any program used.
I picked up mine sight unseen for a overland V8 4x4 sticker was $44700. Got them to take $2000 off and they gave me great $ for my trade in. They set me up in a white overland for a week until it came in. I am LOVING my new Jeep!
Just got a Stone White Laredo 26X 4x2 with 430N for $32,500 before tax/tag/title. Included $1000 lease loyalty rebate. This was at a dealer in Tampa, FL.
2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, Mineral Gray, black interior, 5.7L Hemi, Off Road Adventure II, 430N. MSRP 44,960 Invoice 42,224 (Tread Lightly discount) -1% -422 Military rebate - 500 Paid 41,302 +Tax, title and license.
wow looking at this thread has me thinking twice about accepting what i think to be a good offer. guess i will atleast wait for my treadlightly discount to arrive before buying.
the one dealer close by to me offered me 42500 on a overland msrped at 44695. not that great from the way this thread is looking
I used the affiliate pricing through tread lightly which is 1% below invoice. A fair deal since I was ordering a Summit 4x4 V8 (in Brilliant Black, no other options) and figured once they come out with the Summit there won't be a lot of them so dealers won't be offering a better negotiated price anyway.
The dealer that I ordered through was great....my Control Number expired on 12/31 and I ordered it on 12/30....but they called me to say that they can't actually place the order (right then they could only do the price configuration which then translates into an order number later) into the system until Jeep opens back up on 1/2 (or was it 1/3?) for orders but repeatedly assured me that they would honor the affiliate pricing no matter what...even if I couldn't obtain a new control number after 1/1....the sales manager even said they have some guys at Jeep that they can always call for a new control number regardless.
If that's the case, I should have asked them for a CDI number to use instead!!! Maybe if I call back and tell them I'll order two if they can snag me two CDI's..... LOL
Just curious what type of prices are offered through the Costco auto buying program...anyone know?
Black on Black Limited with:
Lux Group II
Adaptive Cruise Package
All weather Mats / Roof Rails added by dealer
MSRP: 43,680
Negotiated Price: 39,785
Basically they knocked $3k off and gave me the rails/mats for free. I also did "ok" on my trade, about what I expected they would max out at, but a little less than I was hoping to negotiate for.
