Not sure why yours didn't have the chrome tow hooks. I'm certain the Overland Summit I was looking to buy that was built on 11/22/11 and delivered to the dealer on 12/6 had the chrome hooks.

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Could be a factory error.
I ordered mine with OR1 package, but it didn't come with the trail rated badge, even though it's even listed on the window sticker. And we've heard here of wrong steering wheels, Durango door sills, and other factory farts.

Interesting. I purchased my Summit last week, has the 5.7 and QDII, no tow hooks. The door sticker has an 11/11 build date. How can I find the build sheet and exact build date?

Where did you see that Summits should have the tow hooks? The Jeep page title Capability Tour and Off-road Performance both indicates it optional but the Exterior Tour page shows chrome tow hooks as standard on the Summit.

What's the best course of action to rectify this?

I saw that info posted right here on this board, by the resident expert Milous.
The Overland Summit build that I referenced had a build date of 11/22/11 so maybe the 11/2 date posted by Milous was for orders placed after that date??
Your 11/11 build date may have just missed the chrome tow hook inclusion date!
You can e-mail Jeep for your build sheet if you have a complete VIN

Will Charcoal Grey be coming back as a color choice ever? I love that color - the middle of brilliant black and mineral grey.

Charcoal Grey was only available in 2011 and since it's already been removed after just one year, I doubt it will ever be back. The new dark gray color is Maximum Steel Metallic.

I've only seen Maximum Steel Metallic in those pictures from that thread on here. They are just now in transit (being shipped) to dealers in very few numbers). I'm not impressed with it from the pictures. I have brilliant black and it's a beautiful color. I get compliments from everyone that sees it. The Brilliant Black looks sort of dark gray in bright sunlight.
