2012 laredo V6 or 2011 limited V8? Canada

So here is my dilemma. I can get into a 2012 Laredo V6 with the weather package which gives me Quadra track II and few other goodies for around $41,000 (having dealer install tow package and eventually skids), or I can get a 2011 Limited V8 loaded to the hilt for $55,000. I really like the Limited but it has a few extras that I would not have paid for if ordering from factory like DVD entertainment, adaptive cruise and GPS but the interior is so much nicer. But is it $15,000 nicer? Now I realize this is up to me in the end but I would appreciate some feed back from you guys since you have already signed on the dotted line.

There is nothing wrong with the Laredo interior just not as high end. So what do you Laredo owner think. Do you wish you had stepped up and paid a bit more for limited trim package.

I'd be happy with either engine as I just tow a small tent trailer a bit in the summer.

Any feed back appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm in the Toronto area....You should be able to do better than 55K for a used '11. Even a low mileage truck should run you between 38-41K for a Laredo and under 50K for a Limited or overland.

Good Luck, as I'm in the same boat.

I have to agree that the 11 even new should be a little lower priced...aren't they working on moving that inventory out before summer? Go with your gut.

they are offering $6700 in incentives and giving me what I asked for my trade in but won't move on the finance rate. Thinking of asking them to throw in a set of winter tires and wheels.

You could always get the laredo and get somone to install leather in it, it would only be a fraction of the cost

Get a Laredo X - it has leather.

Re: 2012 laredo V6 or 2011 limited V8? Canada

Both are "new", I see.
I assume that the 6700.00 in incentives is after the 41K and 55K prices?
I can tell you, unless there's a new promo that's not yet been advertised, there are no incentives in the GTA. I don't know exactly which part of the country you're in though....

Personally, I'd take the Limited. Not for the V8, but for the extras. If you can negotiate a number for the Limited that you're comfortable with, that'd be my choice.

Both sound like great trucks. Either way you're getting a Jeep!

I'd get the Laredo X for that type of price difference and year difference, considering you don't need the V8 that is.

Re: 2012 laredo V6 or 2011 limited V8? Canada

I have a Laredo with ORA-I...I wanted QT-II and the skids I also got the security and convenience along with the tow package and a sunroof for about 7 grand less than a starting Limited. Having driven a Laredo X while I was waiting on delivery of mine, I was not impressed with the leather interior, I think the seats in my Laredo are nicer. I agree though, I didnt need all the extras..dont care about GPS, DVD etc. I'd go with the Laredo and go with an aftermarket leather. I also didn't see the need for the V8.

Re: 2012 laredo V6 or 2011 limited V8? Canada

Well I bit the bullet and followed my gut and opted for the 2011 Limited. To buy a 2012 set up the way I wanted it would have cost about the same as the Limited after the rebates. Like I said the Limited has more than I really wanted but Im sure that I will grow to like it. I have to admit that while the V6 has lots of power the Hemi has LOTS of grinning from ear to ear power!! The amount of KM's I drive I don't think the Hemi will break me. Plus it is nice to know that if I need to pull something larger I can. So thanks for the advice and input. Once I figure out how to post pictures I will put some up. Back to work tomorrow though so be a week or so.
