2012 Overland headlight questions

Hey guys..
Can someone explain them to me..
When does the "4 bulb burn" come into play, do I even have them?
Also in "brights" I notice just the outside projector comes on same just stronger then they are with the low beams.. What is the inner headlight, when does that come on?
Anything to do with the Smart Beam technology? Do I have to have it enabled in order all 4 to come on or for the inner headlight to come on?
Thanks..

Re: 2012 Overland headlight questions

The inner lights are your daytime running lights (DRL). They're on during the day while you're driving and your headlamps are off. All 4 lights will not come on at the same time.Smartbeam is where where you normal nighttime headlamps will go to auto-highbeam and low beam depending on traffic.

Take a look in your manual and it'll explain more.

Re: 2012 Overland headlight questions

Thanks, unfortunately my manual doesn't say too much about them except what A, 0 is etc..
Quick question while its dark out..
Will setting the switch to "O" disable the DRL'S?
Thanks

Are you sure that you are reading in the manual rather than the user guide? And, no, DRL's are not on when the headlights are on.

Re: 2012 Overland headlight questions

The DRL's are on, but at a lower brightness when the headlights are on. Putting the headlight switch to 0 will not turn the DRLs off, you can only do that by pulling a fuse.

In USA I dont believe the DRL are on at all when headlights are on.

Re: 2012 Overland headlight questions

Here in Canada:
DAYTIME & Car in PARK = no lights
DAYTIME & Car in DRIVE = DRL (thats your two inner lights)

NIGHT & Switch in AUTO = DRL are off and HID are on.
If Highbeam is set to come on automatically in the EVIC,
and speed is above 40 km, and no cars are sensed, then lights switch to high beam.
FOGS are turned on by pushing center of headlight switch, but headlights must be on first for FOGS to be on.
