2012 SRT8 Owners-to-be--Richard Petty Driving Experience

For those of you that are SRT8 enthusiasts, check this out from the jeep.com site. Apparently, a one-day driving experience comes standard for all SRT8 buyers courtesy of professionals from the Richard Petty Racing School.

SRT Track Experience - Includes a one-day driving experience designed for SRT owners and performance enthusiasts to maximize their driving knowledge and skills on the street or track. All SRT owners and enthusiasts are eligible to participate in this day-long event held at selected tracks throughout the season with first-rate driving instruction from the professionals at the Richard Petty Racing School

Hmmm ... if it's the "Richard Petty" driving experience, then you'd better be prepared to rub some paint off your doors.

Re: 2012 SRT8 Owners-to-be--Richard Petty Driving Experience

I don't know if this special racing school for SRT owners will be any different, but the commercial "Richard Petty Driving Experience" that they offer at many race tracks around the country is geared toward people who don't know much about performance driving. There are many other racing schools that provide better training and a better "experience". There was a scandal several years ago where it was revealed that the "top speed" certificates being given out to customers after their "experience" had top speeds listed that were much higher than the customers actually achieved in order to entice more customers to repeat their "experience".

All SRT vehicles come with this feature. You drive their cars at a track in different driving modules. Anyone can sign up and pay $500 or you can just buy a SRT.
