Re: 2012 WK2 Prices Paid Master Thread

2012 Overland, V6, 4X4, Mineral Gray with Saddle interior.
ACC package
MSRP: 45,490
Paid: 39,433 including rebates ($1000 Jeep, $500 military)

Place a factory order with guaranteed delivery of 31 May. Dealer thinks it should be in way before that.

I appreciate all of the advice from everyone on the forums. I didn't get anywhere for about 2 weeks, but with patience and persistence go the price I wanted. I can't wait for delivery!

After two trips to the Bronx and numerous emails and phone calls to a-hole dealers, i finally placed my order yesterday at Eastchester Jeep in the Bronx.

Stone White Overland, V6, Saddle interior.
MSRP: 44,195
INV: 41,351
Paid: 38,000. (including $1000 rebate and 1% affiliate rewards)

I used Consumer Reports' Build & Buy (basically Zag/truecar) and got a quote from Eastchester for $37,200 or something like that, it turned out to be a little of a bait and switch and it turned into 38,400. I then showed them my affiliate rewards (thanks to Pat for the idea) and it took some convincing but they did take apply it to the quote and brought it down to an even 38k.

I am still a little nervous about the order going through because of the early build out status of the Stone White, but they assured me several times it would go through.

I called and emailed the 6 dealers within 100 miles that had this configuration in stock and none of them would go below invoice and basically said my Consumer Reports quotes of 38,500 and 39,000 were scams. I always thought in stock vehicles would be cheaper, but in this case it was a no brainier to order it.

So excited, can't wait.

Re: 2012 WK2 Prices Paid Master Thread

Well, I paid only 1k under MSRP but I feel great about the buy. Specially since I didn't spend days or weeks trying to find the cheapest I could get, since for me time>money. Plus I negotiated top dollar for my trade-in which was part of the deal. 14k for a 6 year old 350z in pretty crappy condition.

Looking at a lot of the post on this thread where people are saying they paid 10k below MSRP, I conclude many are a) delusional, b) full of shit, c) master con artist. With the vast majority falling in the a or b category.

I got my 2012 Town & Country from Riverdale in the Bronx, which is the same company as Eastchester. I can tell you that I got $5300 off MSRP on a car that lists for $36,015. Also gave me a pretty good deal on my trade-in. I will buy another car from them as long as its a Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge.
