Unhappy Re: 2013 5.7L V8 GC TrailHawk and my Dyno run.

Okay, so this past Saturday I had my follow up Dyno with the Corsa Exhaust installed.

I was expecting so much more out of this set up. I only gained 7 hp and 2 tq.. I'm second guessing my Corsa purchase. I feel that i could have spent money on 2 Borla mufflers and had my local shop custom bend me 3" SS tubes for 1/3 the price... and gotten the same/similar results.

so are your numbers still holding true for that huge torque gain?

$1500 +/- For sound only?? yeah not worth it IMHO. I wish I wasn't the guinea pig.. or the first person to do a dyno comparison on this exhaust. I NEVER would have bought this exhaust if i knew i'd only get 7 wheel hp..

meaning that I am sure that i could have my local exhaust shop custom bend me 3" SS pipe from the cat back and add in 2 "high quality" mufflers to get the same "power" and noise increase. Even for 1/2 the price I'd still come out ahead. Then I could have added a Diablo and be about the same price as a Corsa "performance" exhaust, but with more power.

Yeah agree its all for sound. After my install I felt like the car jumped the line slower than at stock.

Not gonna defend the price. Corsa didn't sell you on Xhp increase, you sold yourself on that one. No cat-back will deliver meaningful increases unless matched with headers and properly flowing heads.

Corsa's thing, the thing you paid for, is the no-drone patent. You WILL get drone, most likely mind-numbing, with any other setup.

EDIT: I stand corrected. Your Corsa is same as stock diam, 2.5" so you should not notice any drop off only gain, albeit small. The special run I am arranging has a 3" diam so that is why I experienced a small low-end loss.
holy shit.. now i am even more pissed.. i was about to say "wrong i ordered the 3 inch" because that is what the web site stated they were on 03/24/2014. I even confirmed that with AutoAnything.. now the website says 2.5" what a scam..
Now i am LIVID!!

DO NOT pay the money for the Corsa Exhaust. period.

I guess 7hp is an "increase".. but i was hoping for more than 2.7% hp and 0% tq.

Honestly bro, you probably would only see about the same with any other system out there. Just shows how good the stock setup is. But it is a shame to spend that much and get so little. Id be pissed too. The real restrictions are the stock manifolds and cats. If ya dump them for some thing better and throw a tune on it you will get big gains.
