Hola good ppl! I'm new to this site.. Joined bc every time I do google searches and such on Jeeps, I'm often referred to this site. So I figured I'd join. This is a very informative thread you all have going here. I've learned more reading this than I do working in the actual plant (JNAP). Anyway I'm intrigued by this "AE" discussion. I actually polled a few co-workers and we've decided on "Adrenaline Edition".. Nobody even knew there was gonna be a special edition 2013 SRT around here.. At least not any of us who build the darn things! So if I'm right, I promise we didn't cheat.. I'll check back in to see what you guys' resident Jeep guru "Milous" reveals.. Im in the market for a new vehicle and was actually abt to pull the trigger on a 2012 Mineral Gray SRT8 I came across until I saw this thread.. So maybe I'll hold off and see if they drop that 426 in there like I've been saying since I got here! Lol.. (Back to work I go! Peace..)

Well thanks for having me.. And yea I guess that'd suck then if Ford already used that name before. It'd definately fit this car tho..

Milous, thanks for keeping up the excitement of this special edition!
Let's Recap so far;

Altitude Edition-Milous says no
Arctic Edition-Milous says no
American Edition-Milous says no

Aggressive Edition-no response
Attitude Edition- no response
Autobahn Edition-no response
Alpine Edition-no response
Adrenaline Edition-Milous says no

Scott says one of these is correct......

I think it will be the Adrenaline Edition as that describes it best.

Alpine Edition sounds like a guy in his Leiderhosen driving around the Alps. This Bad Boy is not that!

Which one do you guys think it is? It's got to be one of these!

I'M siding with the factory employee "chevyboy" and his suggestion "adrenalin edition".
What's with the "sshhhhh" on the name. Put the name out there and let the speculation about what it means begin.

no tooling needed, they didnt badge the Altitude trucks for some reason. maybe they'll badge the 2013s

Hey, I have no issue being wrong. Lol.. I don't know any more than you guys do! I've been tuned in here a lot over the past few days to see what shakes up myself. Like I said, no one on the floor knows anything, and the suits upstairs who do know (or should at least) won't tell us much. I will say, after taking a stroll over to Assembly the other day (I work in Body), I saw a few in that "new color" that were really nice. I'm still sold on Mineral Gray as my fav tho. The way the paint compliments the wheels is unparalleled. And the Black just looks like an Overland with a diff front fascia. Really hides the detail and the "SRT" aspect of it. I'd really like to see a more aggressive and distinct rear wing, and maybe some carbon fiber exterior accents, bc for $65k I don't wanna have to add to it too much, outside of performance mods. But with '13 being a short model year, obviously that ain't happenin. Anyway, on behalf of the rest of my JNAP fam, I'd like to thank you all for supporting the brand, and vehicles(s) we basically sacrifice our personal lives 6 and sometimes 7 days a week to build. I love working for the little 3rd of the big 3. Nothin like a good underdog comeback story ya know? Peace..

Oh, and my name is "chevyboy" bc my first car back in high school was a used '95 Z28 that I absolutely adored. Unfortunately I totaled it. Lol.. I look forward to having an SRT8 JGC as the first NEW vehicle I purchase. The fact that I'm fortunate enough to build 'em, working at the very beginning of the line, is just an added bonus.. So next time you're at your local car show, and ppl get to talking all that jazz abt "Cayannne this, and Cayenne that," tell 'em, "yeah, but I know the guy that built this beast, and he takes pride in his work!" Then pull off and let that 6.4 "breathe" one time for me! Lol ;-)

Absolutely! And that thing only had 275hp, maybe 225 at the wheels on a cool night, but to me it was the fastest car in the world. They'll always have a special place in my heart. After I totaled it my brother who moved to DC, GAVE ME his '98 5spd Mustang GT (which I still have), and although I'm grateful, and she's come a LONG way from the 225hp slug she was when I got her, she'll never take the place of 'ol "Sheila" (< the Z). That's another reason I want a Jeep. No car will make you feel like your first, much like women ;-), but there's a sentiment with me and these trucks. I started working for Chrysler just before this truck was launched and was at an extremely low point in life. Much like Chrysler. But I've worked my behind off over the past 2yrs NEVER turning down overtime, and seeing progress in my own affairs, and the success of the vehicles, makes me feel attached to 'em. Like we're made for each other. Lol.. And here in Detroit and the Metro area, I don't see many SRT GC's on the road. Our Body Shop manager has a black one, and the plant manager has one in Mineral Gray (I'm so jealous), but day to day, I really don't see em. Unlike the Stang's, Camaro's, Vette's, and even the other SRT products that are more common. So it's that much more special to me. Besides that, I think it'd be kinda cool to trailer the Stang to the track, with a truck that's faster than the car it's pullin! Lmbo.. (My daily driver will be faster than my race car! Smh.. lol)

Milous has already said its not "Arctic Edition". He says its not Adrenaline Edition either, so I think it must be "Autobahn Edition". I know they did testing at Nuremberg. It appears lowered and lean and mean with its white exterior and blacked out trim. So maybe they are looking at this being the best handling Jeep yet? Therefore "Autobahn Edition"?

I hear ya...I figured I would toss it out there since the OP said Arctic Edition like the Blue Wrangler...since the AE will be white it's worth a shot.

Milous can be a tricky dawg...

Nurburgring and the Autobahn are two completely different animals...

Found out what the darn thing is gonna be called today. And they ARE already in pre-production build. Saw a couple pilots over in an audit area earlier without any trim badging on em. Much respect to the original poster, so I'm not gonna spoil the thread, but I think I'm gonna go ahead and just pull the trigger on a 2012 mineral. Not overly intrigued by the '13s.
