Introducing the 2013 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk - Arriving in showrooms October 2012

Production start: 9/25/12

[JeepGarage.org/Wk2Jeeps.com - September 1st, 2012] [updated September 11th, 2012]

For the 2013, Jeep announces the production version of the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk first seen as a concept at the 2012 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. The Grand Cherokee Trailhawk shows that even the most awarded SUV ever, and the most capable Grand Cherokee ever, can up its game.

The 2013 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is available with a V-6 or V-8 engine and includes the following capability-enhancing equipment:

- 18-inch Goodyear Silent Armor all-terrain tires with Kevlar reinforcement
- Solid steel rock rail body protection
- Quadra-Lift air suspension, with nearly 11 inches of ground clearance
- Selec-Terrain traction control system with five settings: Snow, Rock, Sand/Mud, Sport and Auto
- A Rear Electronic Limited-slip Differential (ELSD, V-8) that can transfer up to 100% of engine’s torque to one rear wheel in order to keep the Jeep moving forward even in the most extreme situations
- Quadra-Track II or Quadra-Drive II (V-8) with a two-speed transfer case to help conquer the toughest obstacles

The Trailhawk is easily recognized with new signature red Trailhawk and Trail Rated badging and tow hooks, black-surround headlamps and a unique grey on the grille surround, side mirrors rear light bar, 4x4 badge and five-spoke 18-inch aluminum wheels. A black hood decal with red accent stripe helps reduce glare from the sun which can help the driver in extreme off-road situations.

Trailhawk-specific interior touches include black leather and performance suede seats with red accent stitching and Mopar slush floor mats front and rear.

The 2013 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is available in Bright White, Brilliant Black, Mineral Gray, Maximum Steel and Deep Cherry Red.

Well this is my first post, and I would like to say this forum has been amazing thus far,,,, this TrailHawk package sounds like it will be what I purchase in the coming year. I do have a couple of questions,, first will it be available in the 2014 my with the diesel option? Second, what will the base model be for interior options? There are a few things I would like to have that are only available on limited and overland packages,,,, I would like to thank everyone for their time on this matter.

I'm thrilled to see an OE wheelable WK2. Not that the other can't be wheeled but this is designed for those who want to luxury wheel. Bout damn time!

Milos, what is up with the lame selection of oe wheels on the WK2? Don't they have enough imagination to do more for wheels then just painting other oe wheels? Let's see some real nice looking wheels! The jk moabs would fit this better even! The only nice wk2 wheels imho are the srt wheels. Imho jeep failed the wk2 in the under 20" wheel dept.the 17s and 18 are boring and ugly if you ask me. I guess I figure they could have done something different for the Trailhawk model!
