Hi Milous

I have a question, I have been looking for a way to compare the us models eg overland and summit to the overland we get in Australia see what options are on ours compared to the US. do you have any thing that might show what the difference is?

also you are a wealth on knowledge thank you.

Very nice. I'm glad to see they added another light exterior color choice. I love my Winter Chill 2012, but it would have been nice to have that white choice available, too.

Thank you for posting this, Milous.

I'll probably catch heck for this, but the black interior looks ordinary, like any with a black interior. I know a lot of people didn't like the saddle/orange/tan color but at least it was different and "exclusive." Black just doesn't seem exclusive. My opinion, of course, since others will LOVE the all black interior, especially in Phoenix, Arizona during the summer.

Truthfully, I went for the Summit and the Jeep WK2 in general because I saw the tan/saddle interior in the brochure. If I had seen the black interior I don't think I would have looked twice.

One of THE main reasons I didn't get the Summit model when I ordered my 12 Overland is because I couldn't stand that orange colored interior. Also that white wasn't an exterior color option also killed any chance of me ordering one. Now hopefully for the 2014 model run, Jeep will offer the black interior with a white exterior and they also don't mess up the look of the front and rear. Then I'll order a replacement for my 12 Overland.

If you look arround the amount of high end suv/cars like BMW, Audi MB, RR with all black interior is a lot more compared with the brown(saddle) ones.
Did you ask your self why??? Because is stylish !Also comes with cooling seats for Phoenix, Arizona..... I love Summit, but HATE saddle interior. With all black option the only part missing is the 8 speed transmission. But I have patience.

For 2014 hopefully they offer either the SRT interior on the Limited or Overland and/or a high end black Nappa leather interior with black olive ash burl wood and white or silver stitching instead of the saddle stitching, that's the only thing I don't like; well that and all the chrome on the exterior so hopefully they offer an altitude option on Overland or Limiteds.

A white Summit with either interior will look awesome for sure.

Milous-

On the front page it says the Summit package includes power tilt/telescope steering column. I know the deleted that feature from the Lux package on '13 Limiteds, but did they also delete it from regular Overlands standard feature list and that is why it is listed as an additional Summit feature or am I reading too much into it?

The power tilt/telescope wheel is Standard on the Summit and on the SRT8. It is not available on any other models or trim levels. I believe that there have been some supply issues that caused the feature to be dropped on the Limited and standard Overland and that it will be returning to those for model year 2014.

I have the black ash wood grain in my Oz spec Overland which is essentially the Summit in the USA. The interior looks great, the picture does not show the nice black/silver of the wood grain and it is not a boring as a BMW/ Audi stark black interior.
I have heard many of you complain that you do not get the black wood option in the USA as it was only an export inclusion on the CRD models, and when Jeep release it, people are complaining it is now included.
I am sure once you sit in one, you will appreciate the new colour scheme as it suits the car very nicely.

It's sweet and what I always wanted, with the silver stitching like they got in Oz and Europe. It will probably look pretty good with saddle stitching too though, just not as good in my opinion as the silver or white stitching.

Glad they made black interior an option, although I much prefer saddle. I've owned a number of black interior cars over the years as well as tan interiors. The saddle is my favorite by far, especially with the black carpet and accents. And very stylish to boot.

I have to say I agree. The black to me is nice but not my style. It's just a matter of opinion so I hope for everyone's sake they continue to offer both for certain models.

Isn't the 2014 just around the corner?

From what I've read the 2014 with an 8 speed transmission & much larger Nav screen, etc is only 4-5 months away. If the 2013 is destined to be a very short year how will that effect depreciation?

We've pondered returning to a JGC, but with dismal mileage even in the 6 are awaiting the improved transmission, etc.'

On a personal note, I don't at all care for black interiors. Drab and claustrophobic, IMO.
