2013 vs 2014 discount?

Now that I've seen the 2014, I'm thinking about a 2013 instead, any idea on how much a new 2013 might be discounted?

The 2014 hasn't even hit the dealers yet so it is hard to say as they are running on what stock they have. Some dealers won't even trade with others just so they can sell them. Once the 2014's starting hitting lots, the 2013 might have a better discount. But for now, I'd say 1-2% under invoice is a good place to start.

Pat indicated in another thread that his dealership is heavily discounting the '13 models at the present time, but that there were also a lot of dealer-trade calls criss-crossing the country trying to find cars. So in the end, the price will depend upon availability and whether or not what you want is sitting there or has to be found for you.

I would recommend waiting until you see the 2014 in person before you go run off and get a 13. Last thing you want to do is purchase a car which you already know is technically outdated, then find out you really do like the new one. Its very common for all this hype at the release of a new model there will be people that say they hate it, then grow to like it. You should see the all hate going on over in the Corvette forums with the new C7. Next thing you know all those guys will own C7's.

To me the front end of the new WK2.5 is gonna take some getting used to, but I think everything else about the car and especially the interior, tranny, and engines will be well worth it. Regardless of any possible discounts to the 13's, I say hold off for the latest and greatest. It will be here soon!

If you could buy from Pat at Field's Auto, they have about 107 2013 GC for sale. I just looked at a Limited that had MSRP at $40k, selling for $36.
