^^this. I thought it was odd that it didn't tell me the set speed either. Maybe I'll dig through the EVIC settings menu and see if there is something in there. No ATP either, but I don't see why that would make a difference in how they display normal cruise settings.

Re: 2014 Cruise control change by +/- 5MPH?

I just tried to make it go up in increments, and it ain't happening. Rereading the section of the manual that was posted, in the beginning it says the speed will continue to increase as long as you hold the button. A couple of paragraphs later it mentions increments.

I have a feeling they were supposed to distinguish between the two cruise control systems.

Can't wait to see what others with basic cruise report.

I'm happy with the way mine works, so even if it supposed to have the additional feature I won't say anything.

This is all I see even if I am holding the set button.

I will take pictures later, when I drive home, since I have the tank today.

I know on mine, with certain screens it displays speed. Try on the fuel economy screen, as that's where my wife usually keeps it, or with the analog speedo. I do have that advanced tech package though.

I think you are right. The part that mentions holding set +/- down to change speed is probably specific to Non ATP jeeps. They probably should have added - for vehicles equipped with ACC holding the set button will change speeds by later on in that section +/-5.

Would the dealer or Jeep customer care be a better avenue to raise this complaint? I downloaded the latest manual when I copied and pasted the section this morning, so it is still wrong.

What is there to complain about, an error in the manual?

If that's the case, tell them I want a flipper glass, since it is still mentioned.

Yes, an error in the manual that made me wonder why my car isn't changing speeds in +/-5 increments when I hold down the set button.

Re: 2014 Cruise control change by +/- 5MPH?

Actually in taking these pictures I decided to trigger the FCW as well. In fact I plan on taking a video to show at what distance it alerts, I found a safer LOW SPEED method though the alert is dynamic, depending on the speed of the vehicle and on how quickly the distance to the car ahead is dropping.

The car was on ACC and once the speed dropped to about 15 mph, the car triggered the BRAKE alert with about 2 car lengths distance to the car ahead. I have had the FCW trigger with about 4 car lengths at a higher speed, when the car ahead made a right turn.

As you can see, the speed to which the cruise control (either type) is set, is also shown next to the symbol. Either cruise control method utilize the 5 mph exchange rate (increase/decrease) based on the longer actuation of the button.

Re: 2014 Cruise control change by +/- 5MPH?

Thanks for the pics. Mine definitely doesn't display the speed in the lower right corner like yours. I'm jealous. I'm kicking myself for not getting the ATP now. Sad thing is had I just been more patient, I could have gotten my JGC w/ tech package for about the same price as I paid for mine w/o tech package.

Re: 2014 Cruise control change by +/- 5MPH?

Limited built 6/22, no ATC. Set speed goes up if you hold down the set+ button but not in 5 mph increments. I never see the set speed displayed, either, just the tiny green icon on the lower right of the EVIC.

I tested it this morning with the ACC and the +\- 5 mph works as advertised. Just hold the button down a little longer than a 'tap' and it will change to the next number divisible by 5. Until I read this string, I didn't know it could do that...I guess I should read the manual!
