2014 Durango RT to 2014 JGC Summit

Very comparable SUVs in terms of UI and technology. However, I needed a smalled Truck. Got the Summit last week, with V8 must. have. V8 . I traded in the "D" as they call it on their forums, with corsa exhaust, tint and catch can. had to shell out a few bucks to complete the trade, but the summit is definitely an upgrade - lighter, faster, folding mirrors, 19 speaker HK sound system, suede roof liner, air ride suspension, 4x4, well I don't need to tell you guys. I took myself from a factory warranty with the D, to 38K miles on the Summit. I just couldn't pass it up after experiencing that ride quality. I already have tints installed, but will likely do little to it beyond that.

So far I love this thing, my first car was an '88 jeep cherokee laredo, with the amc straight 6, so fast. The sport mode on the jeep is great too! I'm looking at some jeep jamborees, but I'm not getting a good response from those guys, seems like they don't think the summit is good for the terrain, or perhaps they are worried about me scratching it?? I dunno. In terms of capability, from what i've seen on youtube, the summit looks quite capable. Should I opt for the extended warranty? Jeep will take me to 100K miles for $2,400 with $100 deductible, doesn't seem like a good plan. I look forward to digging into this site and learning more and more. happy to be back in the jeep family.

I don't get why the Durango doesn't come with Air Suspension. If they have make the Durango as luxury as and as off-road capable as the Grand Cherokee Summit. I would have bought one. After all they are based on the same platform.

You should be able to get the lifetime maxcare for less than $2400. Who is telling you 2400 for 100k? The mopar rim policy at $310 is also spmething to consider.

I stand correct the plan costs - $2,946.24! PLAN: "New max care money back guarantee" $100 deductible, looks like full coverage. Offered by mopar vehicle protection - Dan Moushey. Seems very expensive, especially with that deductible. 7yrs/100k mi. Did many of you guys do an extended warranty? Thought? Thanks!
