Re: 2014 fully loaded limited or overland?

My dilemma...adding Lux II or just sunroof and Navigation to the Limited. I see it is $4k for Lux II + NAV $400 = $4,400 total. And $995 (Sunroof) + $975 (Nav) = $1790 total.

$4000 - Lux II
$400 - Navigation
$4,400 total

$795 - (RA4) Navigation
$995 - sunroof
$1790
$4400-$1790 = $2610

Total extra for me to go with Lux II is $2610.

Is it worth it?

yes you get a lot more with lux2 than just the panoramic roof. you get LED headlights, cooled/heated seats. just to name a couple

It got the Lux II, Nav, and Tow for about $2500 under what the basic Overland would of cost. That is after TTL

Bear in mind, too, that if you're getting the CRD (not sure if you are but just in case someone is) Lux II is $3000 rather than $4000. And it's required.

If you're getting an Overland CRD, you've also got to get the Advance Tech package. Just some things to keep in mind and since this thread is almost 200 posts long, that info might have gotten lost in the shuffle.

Re: 2014 fully loaded limited or overland?

I find myself wondering how stringent dealers would be on requiring one to order the Advanced Tech Package when one orders an Overland Diesel. I definitely have no interest in an almost $1700 Package which I would never use, but I definitely have an interest in the more efficient and powerful Diesel (v. V-6).

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I don't think it has anything to do with the dealers being stringent, it's more a matter of them being able to place the order without it. Just like how they can't place an order for a CRD at all yet, or order an off road package with 20s.

It is not up to the dealers. The computer system that they use to order cars will not allow them to order one without whatever other restrictions/additions Chrysler requires them to do. It is all computerized.

That's disappointing. I'll just have to bargain it out of the final price if I decide I want a diesel Overland.
