Re: 2014 fully loaded limited or overland?

For me, the leather dash is a turn off. It strikes me as the modern day equivalent of the vinyl roofs on cars in the 80s. No thanks!

Am I missing anything here? I'm sorta facing the same decision myself so I'm curious what other think about it. Personally, the only one of those I would miss are the power folding mirrors.
You won't get the body colored trim, which I like a lot.

Re: 2014 fully loaded limited or overland?

I went through again and built the most comparable Limited to the Overland I have on order. The difference for me is $2705 MSRP. I also noticed that I cannot get Quadra-Drive II as a stand alone option like I can on the Overland. I can get it in the Off-Road II package, but I don't want that... If I were able to add QD-II, the difference would be less than $2k...

I also loose Quadra-Lift because I don't want the Off-Road II package. After I add the OR-II package, the difference is only $432, then I'm out another $1k for new rims because I don't want the 18's...

Re: 2014 fully loaded limited or overland?

I am looking at this exact same issue. Can someone please help me identify what I'd be getting by going the Overland route? This is what I'm currently evaluating and all I can think of that the Overland gives me is leather dash and 20" wheels. Is there something else that I'm missing for the $3539 premium?

Limited 4X4 - MSRP $37,795 ($36,192)
3.0L V6 TURBO DIESEL ENGINE (EXF) + 8-SPD AUTO 8HP70 TRANS (DFD) 22H (Late Availabilty) [MSRP $4,500 / INV. $ 4,005]
OFF-ROAD ADVENTURE II (AWY) N/A W/AWL with EXF or EZH: [MSRP $2,495 / INV. $ 2,221]
LUXURY GROUP II (AHN) with EXF: [MSRP $3,000 / INV. $ 2,670]
TOTAL of $45088 INV

AND --

Overland 4X4 - MSRP $45,995 ($43,736) + $995 destination
3.0L V6 TURBO DIESEL ENGINE (EXF) + 8-SPD AUTO 8HP70 TRANS (DFD) 22P (Late Availabilty) [MSRP $4,500 / INV. $ 4,005]
OFF-ROAD ADVENTURE II (AWY) with EXF or EZH: [MSRP $995 / INV. $ 886]
TOTAL of $48,627 INV

I assume you meant to add the Luxury Group II for the Limited, instead of doubleing the Off Road Package. If so, this has been extensively discussed, i.e., leather dashboard, folding mirrors, color coordinated body trims, Indigo Blue interior not being available. ALSO Remember to add RA4 navigation and apps to the Limited. It is standard in the Overland.

Is the leather upgraded on the lux II? I know it adds perf inserts and says it's premium, whatever that means.

I don't think anyone has seen a photo to the lux II. The assumption is that it is the same as the Overland (minus the Overland logo).

Re: 2014 fully loaded limited or overland?

Most have been stated ... I thought about this situation as well. For me it came down to preferring the exterior look of the Overland. The Limited with the dark trim along the bottom does not appeal to me. I like the look of the chrome tow hooks. The quality of the leather on the Limited w Lux II is of the same quality as the Overland. Basically the interior is the same minus the Overland badge and leather dash (if you chose Beige interior on Overland your seats would have dark piping).

I was unsure if I wanted the Quadra Lift and power folding mirrors and ambient lighting along with puddle lamps ... These were not big deals to me, but what made up my mind was mostly just liking how the Overland appeared on the exterior.

If a person wanted Quadra Lift and the 20" rims Overland is about the only way to go (unless going for Summit with further upscale rims).

The Limiteds I sat in at the auto show (that had Lux II) appeared to have the same quality leather as the Overland judging by feel and appearance. The interior was pretty much the same minus the Overland badge and leather dash and wood difference.

The LUX II group gives it the Napa leather.

Re: 2014 fully loaded limited or overland?

Overland also has real wood and leather above the wood on the doors (it's plastic on the Limited).
