I disagree, $5,000 is not damn near. To each their own.

Agreed here. The white Overland WK2.5s posted look HUGE compared to the WK2.

It's not going to be fun fixing all the chips and scratches those painted pieces will get either.

If you're saying the customer needs to spend another $1700 to protect QL, and if the only reason that customer would buy the extended warranty would be to protect the QL "investment", well, doesn't that add another $1700 to the Overland-Limited price difference?

Re: 2014 fully loaded limited or overland?

If you're really worried about long term repairs, I'd be more afraid of that new 8 speed transmission from ZF. Think that's going to be cheap to repair? Not likely.

If the QL system fails, I'm sure someone will invent a QL to steel spring conversion. They do it for Range Rovers.

So, I'm considering trading my 2011 for a 2014. I priced a fully loaded limited and overland and the price difference is something like $3k. What does the overland really give me over the limited? I know the biggest thing is the QL, which I don't have on my limited and don't really see the need for it now. Then there are some cosmetics like the leather dash, and wood/leather steering wheel. But is there anything else that I'd really be missing out on if I opted for another limited? Thanks in advance!
Here is the original question. Personally IMHO if you don't want the QL and find the rest of the cosmetic options superfluous, order a Limited and load it as you wish. That is what I am doing for those exact reasons (except w/diesel).

To each his own,it's fun to disagree and learn from others opinions, enjoy your black cladding and the rest of us will like the full body color,it's cool either way because it's your cash register not mine.

Re: 2014 fully loaded limited or overland?

Basically I am seeing a loaded limited 4x4 w/ Lux 2, tow package, Nav, 20" wheels at $45,080.

Base overland 4x4 $46,990.

$1910 difference for QL, Leather dash, folding mirrors, puddle lamps, and painted exterior molding. Tough decision.

Seems like the Lux II adds a lot of cost without too much of an enhancement to the limited

I agree to this as well since the CRD gets it for about a grand less but people will still buy it.
