The V6 and the 5.7L (in non-Quadralift forms) even have the same suspensions, correct? So I don't see a handling advantage for the V8...if anything the V6 would be better in the turns since it weighs less.

Compaired to an SUV, real "Fun" is obtained driving one of these around the track...

same here, but i have the older 3.7. i drove a 3.6l charger and i really wasnt impressed. below 40mph my 3.7 wk pulled harder, from 45-90 they pulled bout the same, but after that the 3.6 pulled longer not necessarily harder. keep in mind i have the 3.08 rear end in my wk.

granted my 3.7 is not stock so its not a fair comparision. stock for stock the 3.6 win eat a 3.7

Re: 2014 GC 3.6L V6 enough?

I find it dificult to tell the difference between 60 and 80 so use the cruise to avoid having to monitor the speedo on long straight stretches.

Florida is a big state. My home is 385 miles from Key West and 500 from the Alabama border (is in a different time zone) and mostly just miles and miles of miles and miles through flatlands. The closest state border (on I95) is 186 miles and all major population centes are on Interstates.

That said I use the cruise A Lot in all of my cars except the Judge which does not have one & concentrate on my driving.

Have said before, the best use of a GC is to tow something really fast.

Or maybe with that much money, you could get Chrysler to custom build you a GC with a nice little four-banger in it. If you're not going to tow anything, you'll never notice the difference...

Wow this thread got ugly in a hurry.... so because I want the diesel does that mean I weigh 400 pounds and my other vehicle is a MACK but I wear a hemp skirt to show my inner green side for fuel conservation.

Man the stereotypes are amazing... love it.

Maybe next time I'll get the V8 so I can go 0 to 60 .5 seconds quicker than the V6 in a straight line...cause that's what's "Fun".

Don't plan on doing much drag racing with it, actually.

I use to live in Boston, where you didn't drive much but it still took twice as long to get to work!

Moving from there, the time that I save daily is a huge positive in my life. I hope that you see as good a return that I did.

Perhaps you don't understand how interest calculations work. In 43 years your 120k will be only worth $2.4 million, not eight. That is the equivalent of $730 set aside every month for that same time period.

So the lesson is, save gas, don't smoke (and spend money on cigs), pack a lunch to work most days, buy in bulk, do your own yard work, invest that money to retire more comfortably or earlier, or both.

The fact that you want a diesel means one thing ... you want a diesel.

Now, my V8 'might' be faster, and maybe your diesel will get better mileage. But, we will never race each other, and I will never ask you to pay my gas bill, so who cares?
