I agree, although I'm not and wasn't torn.
My choice was made a lot easier when I found out the grille was going to be body colored on all models and I saw the official photos. If I were going to buy a 2013 I'd have a hard time deciding between the Deep Cherry Red and True Blue. In fact, based on the way it looked on the 2013 I was actually leaning more towards the DCR.
But with the new body colored grille, I wasn't sure how the DCR would end up looking. Thanks to the press photos and videos of the darker colored Limited (which I think looks awesome) I knew it would look good on a dark color (like True Blue), but when trying to imagine how the DCR would look in my head I wasn't quite sure if it would look as good in real life and on the Laredo. And yes, a lot of the official photos and videos show a DCR Summit, but the color isn't accurately portrayed at all, and plus, the Summit has a lot more chrome. And I don't like the way it looks in the photos/video nearly as much as I do as it does on the darker Maximum Steel Limited.
I'm sure the DCR will end up looking awesome in real life. And were the color accurately portrayed and showed on a Laredo or Limited in the press photos and videos would I feel differently? Quite likely, but they weren't, and so I just didn't want to take the risk. That and I do like the idea of having a slightly more "subdued" color, feel I might not get tired of it as easily even on a 2013 (but who knows), and my family thinks I'm more of a blue car guy than a red car guy anyway.
So yeah, to make a long story short, I went with True Blue, and am very satisfied with my decision.
