kinda, sorta, not really!
The FIRST time I tried VHT I put down three heavy coats. Tail lights were BLACK....so I used carb cleaner and that removed about 99% of it.

Have you tried the Glossifier?

Plasti Dip, whether in our original dip-on/brush-on formula or our aerosol variety, dries to a soft, satin finish. This look works fine for many applications, but often a different finish is desired. With Plasti Dip Glossifier, you can give any Plasti Dipped item a glossy, polished look. Plasti Dip Glossifier is ideal for a broad range of uses, from arts and crafts to home improvement projects and more.

I personally like the flat finish. I wish I still had my 2001 Integra. I would love to plast dip the entire car. I couldn't do it to the jeep...just wouldn't look right.

Not yet, may try it on the tail lights. All the other trim and lettering I've dipped look really good as is.

Re: 2014 GC Debadged Front/Sides and Plasti Dip Rear Badges

Hi:

I'm just about to pull the trigger on a new GC and also would like to remove the badges, especially those on the doors. I found this forum by specifically searching for "Grand Cherokee debadging".

I presume that the ones on the doors and hood were just stuck on with two sided tape. If so, how did you go about removing them? Heat?

I'm curious as to why you didn't remove the rear emblems as well - are there pins/holes?

Thanks.

All the badges are double stick tape. Use a piece of fishing line between the badge and tape and having them sit in the sun and get soft wont hurt. You'll have to get the tape off after by using some goo gone or something similar.
