2014 GC Debadged Front/Sides and Plasti Dip Rear Badges

This weekend I installed my tow hooks, removed the front and side badges and plasti-dipped the rear badges. I'm pretty happy with the turn out.

How did you do the smaller emblems...the 4x4 and LIMITED?
Did you remove them or tape them off some how?

I taped them off and sprayed. Once the plasti dip dried, i just grabbed and end and pulled. I used the tip of a ohm meter cable to clean out between the letters. Any small tool will do, just don't push hard or you'll hit the paint.

I've never understood the idea behind de-badging. All that matters is that you like it, in the end, however.

I debadged my Subaru. I don't think I will debadge my GC though. Maybe down the road...

I like the back end though. Do you plan on dipping the chrome around the tail lights?

Hadn't thought about dipping the chrome around the tail lights. Not sure how that would look. Need a photoshop expert to mock it up.

I've never photoshoped, but I have become quite a plasti-dip expert.

Did you dip your tails or tint them?
