I believe it depends on the OS, but yes. Some Android Roms poll less frequently or something, but if you're paired, the two systems are constantly communicating.

The version for the new update is 13.15.6. But when I went to get mine installed the dealer was unable to do it even though my software version in the engineers menu is still showing 13.10.0. I did see the release notes on the new update so I can confirm it is for the 8.4an. Service is trying to find out why they were unable to load it on my summit

Found out today from uconnect that they pulled the update because it had issues. Now they are looking to rerelease it next week sometime.

Re: 2014 GC OWNER'S Review

Luckily I have 1800mi and zero issues with my Uconnect. I will refuse updates until they add some kind of badass feature I don't have and it's been tried and tested. Only issue I have is with the QLII. It will occasionally get stuck in "raising" or "lowering" between Park to NRH1. I usually just tap into Sport mode an back into Drive to make it correct. Quick fix being that I fear the dealership tinkering with it an ending up with more problems.

This has been brought up on another thread, and seems to be a problem that is becoming more common. 2014 Air Suspension

Re: 2014 GC OWNER'S Review

Jacko15: thanks. I just checked it out. Wasn't too worried about it as long as it doesn't become a worse issue down the road (no pun intended). With all of the electronics in this car I had to buy the extended warrantee!

Re: 2014 GC OWNER'S Review

In a previous post on this thread I complained about not being able to set the nav to avoid dirt roads. DUH! Well, now that I've found out how to do it I owe the Uconnect people an apology. I missed the "avoid" softkey, and the whole list of things to have the nav avoid.

Re: 2014 GC OWNER'S Review

Another thing about the nav: trust it when it takes you off the most sane route to where you're going because of traffic. I was driving down I40E towards Raleigh from Winston Salem. A route I've done dozens, if not hundreds, of times. Never needed a GPS to get me where I was going. But to try out my fancy new car, I thought I would use it. It wanted to take me up I73 and I thought no way. I should have listened.

I have the same issue every now and then in my Summit. Agree that it appears to be a software glitch and not a problem with the QL mechanism.

So, Summit guys - how are your plastic seats holding up so far?
