Do you have the stock 20's? Trying to get an idea of what people think of them.

Yes. I like them. I don't off road so I have no comment on their actual functionality but cosmetically, they look GREAT.

Normal driving has given you a comfortable ride too? Been reading mixed reviews on the smoothness of them.

I have the stock 20s, and while I would never have bought the tires it comes with, I can't speak for poor road conditions yet, the quadralift makes for a comfortable ride.

I have never had air suspension before, so am in love with the comfort. Sometimes over potholes I can notice poor grip due to the stock tires, but it is a momentary slip that recovers quickly. (I haven't had a chance to upgrade the tires to Wranglers, which I love, as I have yet to have a truly happy Jeep stock tire experience.).

Re: 2014 GC OWNER'S Review

Just picked up my new 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland V6 4x4. Max Steel with the Indigo/Brown interior. It was built in April. I'll post a review after I have had a chance to drive more than just from the dealer to my house.

By the way, I want to thank all of you who have offered opinions, advice, and, yes, even warnings on this forum. They were all helpful in reaching my final decision on this vehicle. And, for the record, I chose the user name Nomorecars because that is all I have heard from my wife since I put the deposit down on the new Jeep. I hope that choosing to be informed by the warnings, but not scared off by them, won't come back to haunt me and leave me hitching rides from now on when my wife makes good on her word.

Nice choice! How do you like the color combo? I'm anxiously awaiting to see mine in person

Re: 2014 GC OWNER'S Review

It looks great but I got home too late for my wife to see it. Hopefully, she shares my opinion. I was originally going to get a Summit but I really liked the indigo/brown interior when I saw it in person and it doesn't come on the Summit. (Maybe Chrysler thinks the seats would clash with the pseudo-suede headliner?) So I got the interior I wanted and saved a couple thousand bucks. The better radio and the front parking sensor would have been nice but you don't necessarily always get to take full advantage of the radio and I've lived this long without a front parking sensor. And you can't avoid looking at the interior of your car while you are in it. So, Overland it is!

Good luck with yours. I hope you get it soon. I see you are waiting for a V8. I might have done the same if part of the reason I got a new car wasn't to improve on my gas mileage.

Re: 2014 GC OWNER'S Review

The first 125 miles on my Summit have been super !!! Couldn't be more pleased.

Took it out last night for my first after-dark drive. Love the ambient lighting. Also the auto-dimming high beams and swivel feature when you turn is way cool.

The sound system is awesome. Love the 8 spd transmission - very smooth.

I have the V6 and it seems plenty powerful to me.

Re: 2014 GC OWNER'S Review

A little over 100 miles now. Overall, very pleased but...

At about 51 miles, the Uconnect system shut down while I was trying to save a radio station. It restarted, shut down, and then restarted again. I checked for an update online and found I qualified for it. Unfortunately, the first two attempts to download the update failed and the Uconnect service would not let me try a third time. It indicates I have exceeded the maximum number of downloads! A trip to the dealer is now required.

The system shut down again at around 90 miles when I tried to use the Nav system. Restarted, gave me a message that I need to have the dealer correct a problem with the Uconnect phone, and then worked fine.

Other issues: one of the ambient lights over the rear door cupholder does not work and the shelf in the glove compartment (the one for the manual) was not inserted correctly, causing the glove compartment to make a scraping noise until my wife noticed the problem and we fixed it (I think). The QuadraLift system has acted oddly, reporting it was Raising when it wasn't and not letting me lower the vehicle when it was parked.

Other than that, enjoying the ride and getting complements on the looks of the vehicle. Maybe the Uconnect update and a new bulb will fix the things that are separating me from complete enjoyment of my new purchase. (And it is the cost of that purchase that makes what seems minor - other than the Quadralift issues - into magnified problems.)

I'll "file" a full report once I have had the chance to really drive on the highway. Maybe after I get the Uconnect update. That's the problem with all of this new tech: so much of what makes this vehicle what it is has to run through that one computer system. A problem there and it degrades the whole experience.
