The 4wd controls live there on mine.
Thanks Weck - I pried it up and out and the tabs on the tray do not match the slots in the main console hole...that's why it won't seat...but even if they did match appears the tray is not the same shape as the hole in the console. Not a huge issue...but as with everyone who spends big bucks on a new vehicle it should not have easily visible fit and finish issues.

When I take it in for the first oil change I'll take a look at some of the other 2WDs at my local dealer and see if they have the same issue. Maybe its a defective part or the wrong part.

Hello Tiger,
2wd limited. Mine looks the same as your photo. straight edged tray, curved opening.

Chevy,

After 3,500 miles, I'm still loving my V6 Overland with ATG and ORA II. But I have had a few issues. 1. Blows a lot of blue smoke on start up. Chrysler had the dealer replace the PCV valve, but that didn't help. Have another appointment next week. 2. The ceiling grab handle over rear seat on the passenger side is apparently only attached to the headliner. A passenger grabbed it while getting out of the vehicle and nearly pulled the entire headliner down. Dealer will look at it next week. 3. I have had no luck with voice commands. It responded today to a request to navigate to an address in Cedar City, Utah with an address in North Dakota. My wife just laughs when I try to use it. Have also had a few other niggling oddities in the Uconnect system, which I expect will be addresses in future updates.

Despite these, I really like this vehicle.

KJF

JNAP bums rock
Well, I voted before I had all the issues with my Jeep (and can't change my vote)... So maybe I helped balance it out.

Did you update the Uconnect? Since the update I am amazed how just about everything I say is recognized. I used the Nav, audio and climate control today on a long trip and everything was pretty stellar with the voice recognition.

Re: 2014 GC OWNER'S Review

My wife drove the car for the first time on an extended trip this weekend. She had nothing but praise for it. Considering she hated my BMW, I'd say that's a huge compliment!

I did the same thing. My wife still loves it, but hates the fact she can't use her phone with the Uconnect and hates the color.

I was surprised how many people responded before they had a chance to give the Jeep a thorough shake down. I expected more 'good so far' type responses.

I waited until I had 1000 miles on before I voted, and unfortunately I've had a few electrical issues, hvac doesn't turn on with remote and the jeep must be turned back off before it will, and my passive entry sensor had to he replaced (hope that works now), but I'd still buy another one. The finish is great, hemi mpg is good 19 avg so far.

Yes, I have latest version. For me, VR is now less accurate. Most everything else on Uconnect works OK (exception being HVAC on remote startup). Could be I just don't speak clearly.

My JGC is in the shop today for smoking on startup and for mis-instillation of one of the ceiling grab handles. I asked the dealer to re-install the update.

Still love this vehicle.

Already gave glowing review of my summit, but got to test out the active braking today thanks to some f**k s**t moron that decided to slam on their brakes for no reason on a nearby highway.. Im talking skid marks and smoke, no one in front of them, I wasn't riding their ass, no cats.... Dash beeped and car was stopping before I even realized what happened.. I applied full brakes at that point without incident..

Of course I then sped around them and saw driver goofing off with passenger which prompted my horn/finger/expletive response.. But no damage was done..

So, kudos again jeep ;-)

Re: 2014 GC OWNER'S Review

The 2014 JGC Summit 4X4 is my wife's vehicle. Mine is a 2012 Rubicon. That said, the Summit is cosmic. So far no issues except owner break-in. By that I mean the owners manual is 2 1/2 inches thick and the RA4 (84AN) is close. The vehicle has so much in the customizing department it can be bewildering. But that is good! Once you read up on what you have purchased it is really great. The fit and finish was perfect. No flaws in the paint. For a 4X4 the ride is beautiful. I have owned Continentals and Caddys, this rides as well as any of them. Very tight with no rattles at all. Although it may never have to go into the mountains it is good to know it can! The only thing I would say is it did not come with or offer as an option, the skid plate package. I will eventually put it on but it becomes expensive this way.
With 500 miles on it I have to give it 5 stars so far........Hope that continues
