What really pisses me off about this is that is if it wasn't mentioned here it would have looked fine.

Unless it falls out, that's the way it will be when I trade this in.

The one on mine comes down a little in the middle, but does it evenly. Assumed this was on purpose so you are not staring at the back if the high mounted brake light.

Are there really completely straight examples of this trim piece out there?

I just wish my Acura dealer took on the Jeep brand. In the location near me they sell Honda and Acura. No matter which brand they bought my neighbors all rave about the service.

For the Acura customers they recently went from just loaning a car, to door to door drop off. Honda customers still have to pick up the loaner.

The MDX was nice, with nice features, but just wasn't my cup of tea.

Unhappy Re: 2014 GC OWNER'S Review

Time for my 2 cents. I have approx 1800 miles on now. I voted this vehicle not so well as you will see below. I purchased this vehicle for a number of reasons; Since the 2011 model year I thought it was the best looking suv out there, it's a Jeep made in the USA, and I thought the 8sp., and the Pentastar is great drivetrain package. I waited for the 8sp to come out and bought a 2014 Limited with OR2 and the 8.4 radio package. It has far more options and gadgetry than I have ever had by far. My last car was from 2008. Unfortunately, I do not believe this vehicle is at a level of fit and finish as it should be. I have had these issues so far mostly interior defects, some addressed, some not.
1) rear quater panel trim on the left side was bowing out and not secured properly. it was replaced, and now it's fine.
2) trim piece on the right hand side of the console was not line up properly actually popping up till the tab interlocking with a lower piece came undone. Saw this new, notified the dealer, and they said they would address it prior to taking ownership. Did not work out that way and it is still a problem, although ti is better than it was, but still not right.
3) trim piece on the liftgate that was mentioned previously. I did not hear about it here as others had mentioned. I was looking in my rearview mirror and thought why is that piece hanging down. Brought it back to the dealer, looked at 5 other jeeps they all had this problem some worse than others. I believe this is a design problem, there is not enough mounting points for this trim piece, which allows it to sag down. I also believe it should be in contact with the glass with a rubber trim piece along the edge where it would contact the glass.
4) I now have a noise under the drivers seat everytime I hit a bump, sounds like a metal on metal scraping sound, but I think it is the lower trim piece (plastic) on the side-rear of the seat moving in and out of it's locking tab. Obviously it's more annoying on bad roads than smooth roads. I can't reproduce it pushing and prodding on the seat to I guess it's got so get worse before it gets better.
5) Quad tap on the remote for the lift gate, but I assume everyone has that problem. I also think this it is lame something like this was not addressed before shipping out.
6) Remote start, I still can't figure this out. Seems to work differently at different times. Maybe I don't understand it, but today I remote started it, did not have the AC when I parked it, and remote start turned the AC on. maybe it's smarter than me. I also tried to remote start it with the liftgate open and it would not let me do it.
7) The radio seems to be unresponsive when using my Ipod through the usb port, until I press the USB button, then other buttons that were greyed out are no longer greyed out, and the wallpaper comes back up. I think this is software related and am going to step through the updates to get to 13.19. Hopefully it will make it better not worse.
8) 8sp., overall I am happy, but do notice some weird quirks with it, and since I have the V-6, I will be asking for the software update.
So, that was the bad stuff. What I like about the car, is for me it is very comfortable, roomier than my 2005 Tundra, has plenty of power, yes I have the V-6, and the fuel economy is better than I expected it to be. I like how the interior is designed, for the most part I enjoy the radio, and all the stuff that can be done on the screen. The ipod interface works well, except as mentioned above. I have not tried an SD card yet.
So, overall I am happier with the car than when I bought it, maybe cause I'm used to all the little issues, but in the end due to all these issues I do not trust this car, and that is unfortunate for me. Hopefully I can have these issues taken care of in the future. As it stands now, I don't see how I will be able to keep this vehicle after the warranty runs out

Which version is on your radio now? If you can tell me that I can tell you how much 13.19.0 will help.

emsrescue is on a distinguished road
I am now on my second 2014 as I got a buy back.

This one has wind noise above the mirror louder than the AC and the AC controls do not stay on on restart the climate control goes back off every time this is not the way the old one was, the controls stayed the way I had set them on restart.
Vibration in wheel at 65 to 75mph, uconnect shut done several times and is slow to react. Not sure why Chrysler is not getting back to my dealer but this is getting ridiculous as I read everyone else's issues......

Radio version is the original version. I have a January build, 13.05 I think. It was doing well till a few weeks ago and started having issues, seems slow on vehicle startup also. I have everything ready for the 13.15 update, just have not had a reason till now to do it, and it's a little scary updating the software on your new car.
