Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Just curious as to where are the reliability issues? An ac that doesnt start when remote starting is not a reliability issue. Twist the knob when you get in. The programming of a new tranny is not a reliability issue. Sure there have been a few lemons...but in the grand scheme does not EVERY manufacturer have lemons? Are those not the main issues so far?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Facebook update: Hi all, I am just cruising around town...Crash... some idiot just minding his own business driving in his own lane, going the speed limit, didn't go fast enough when my dumb ass was looking down to make this post...
Sorry, social integration in a car is a BAD idea. People have a hard enough time driving as is. Look at how bad people drive when texting. Wait, it is going to get worse. I think eventually the NTSB is going to ban a lot of this. It is coming.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

well...unfortunately thats what the younger gen wants. Im not saying that you can cruise facebook or send tweets while driving. You guys are going overboard now...LOL. there will also be other advancements in the tech. used to control performance, driving characteristics etc. GC's are become more customizable...electronically. The entire industry is heading in this direction for the younger buyers. They want a car/truck/suv that they can integrate into their social, work and recreational enviroments. The next GC will do that....

No loaners and reliability issues is starting to weigh heavily on me as decision day nears-we can't afford to be down a vehicle should there be an issue with the GC should I get one-the expense for a rental is not welcomed either.

I honestly think domestic manufactures should have free loaners to ease the buyers minds with regards to reliability issues-I mean, why don't they? I buy a $45k car, it breaks down, takes a week or longer to get fixed, and I'm forced to pay for a rental?
Chrysler LLC will pay for your rental if your Jeep is in the shop for more than a day.

I just wanna know how much fatter the WL is going to get. Each generation it seems (due to safety requirements) to be getting bigger outside, with less space inside...

Oh, and heavier.

They need jeepgarage.org as a homepage in the next gen. G.C. (WL).

This is articulated very well. Jeep is wise to adapt to changing market demands while still standing by their heritage and inherent strengths.

There is a VERY strong movement to "lighten" the GC...especially the SRT to come more inline with luxury competition. You will see that with lighter aluminum and fibrous parts in the next GC.
