Looked around the site and guess what?? There it was. Amazing topic info on here!!

Doc Perry from The Alamo had the exact info and install procedure accompanied by pics for what I wanted.

US$18 for the part but A$220 freight downunder.

Went to our local Jeep dealer and ordered the part for A$75 (US$70) Not bad.

Heres Doc Perry's post. Very helpful m8.

Would have traded you parts but I'm still waiting for my limited CRD to ship. I would actually like to de-chrome mine a little.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

When I took my Summit in for it's first oil change, The guy who sold it to me said, "It's a good thing you brought it to us. There is a specific way the new GC's have to have their oil changed and only Jeep dealers have the know-how to do it correctly. If you had it done somewhere else, they could ruin the engine."

He's blowing smoke up my ass - right?

The only thing I am aware of is the with the diesels, you have to allow 30 minutes for all the oil to drain out.

Did he mention the secret handshake? If not, he didn't tell you the whole story. Next time you see him ...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Did you ask the guy if he also sells large bridges in New York?

Why take it anywhere? If it has the V8, the oil drain plug and filter are in front of the engine, accessible on my Overland 4x4 through a rectangular opening in the belly-pan. There certainly no need to jack it up.
