I actually used a $700 "calibrated sledgehammer" when I was in the AF. We used it to test vibration sensors for the inner zone security system on Minuteman launch facilities.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. BTW, I have the V6.

I'm not a car guy - in fact, I'm doing good to get my hood up - but when he said that it just didn't pass the smell test.

Appreciate youse guys not laughing at me.

Can someone direct to the discussion site here where I can ask about the proper way to change a flat when you have the self-leveling (that may not be the right term) feature on your Summit. I have a long trip coming up with my family and I was looking in the manual in case of a flat and it referred me to a DVD (I don't have one) to change a tire on mine - WTH ???

The controls in the car have a setting for tire changing.

I belive there is a "tire jack mode" that you have to set in Uconnect settings (if I rememer corectly under suspension sub menu). That only applies if you have air suspension.

OK - thanks - I'll check in Uconnect for it.

Summit has a "Jack Mode" under the suspension in the settings/apps menu. It stops it from correcting height.

I have had my oil changed at different Jeep dealers across the country. The 2014 V6 has a different oil filter but it looks like the older models. After one Jeep Dealer oil change, I noticed low oil pressure. I checked the pressure and it was 3 pounds at high idle. They came out and replaced the oil filter on top of the engine and pressure returned to normal.

SO - watch out for this after any oil change.

Tom

Maybe not! If Chrysler thought they needed to issue a TSB on the subject, maybe even Jeep dealer service departments were screwing up.

I read you can also hold the up/down buttons for ~3 seconds to put it into car jack mode.
