All through this MY14 JGC process its been the Downunder members of JG thats been telling the dealers whats happening months in advance before Jeep Australia finally told them!!
This I might add is due to the help and definite information provided by Milous and his mates on this site.
And Jeep Aust have been telling their dealers, "Dont take any notice of them, JG is a load of shit and they dont know what theyre talking about."
This statement has been verified by some dealers as well. Slander and sacrilege I say!!
So, my advice is from experience, fish around on this site for info and take the dealers info with a grain of salt.
Milous and mates are god.
Yeah Mate, I agree with you there!
It was really hard trying to get a VON number out of them. He kept saying that it's not called a VON number it's called a VIN number and that it would be issued when the car is built.. Called Jeep UK, and they didn't even know what Day it was, soo as you could imagine, there was no help there..
..Soo in all it took me 8 phone calls and 4 visits to the dealer to get a VON number
I think the lack of knowledge with the entire dealer network on a global scale is disappointing, and they need to try better, and give customers a better buying experience from start to finish..
In the beginning stages when the 14" GC was announced at New york or whatever show it was, it was a nightmare trying to find out when it would be launched on UK ground. After many phone calls to Jeep UK and dealers right from February though to May I got NOTHING, NO INFO AT ALL!! I found out 2 week before before the launch date in July from my local dealer, Great huh!
I had requested a brochure online back in May when they let you register to receive one, once the car is launched (did this twice), and all to this day I haven't seen anything from Jeep UK.. Just plain poor customer service really!
I think had it not been for this forum, I would have ordered something else from another manufacture. The waiting was the hardest not knowing if and when it was going to be available to order, Jeep UK don't open order banks until the car is launched, silly really I think!
I ordered my GC in July of last year as soon a it dropped, and still waiting..
My dealer hasn't been to bad TBH, they have been updating me as of when they have any info..
I think the problem lyes with Jeep UK, total dummies work there I tell yah
